Don't give up that easily. Tell them that other phones work
in the same area, that your SIM card works in a different
phone and that as far as you're concerned it is their problem not your provider's. Worst they can do is to ask you to present yourself to the nearest reprogramming centre... errr... sorry, I mean, take your phone to the nearest service centre and have it unfsked. Do make sure in that case that you have a backup done because they *will* wipe your phone clean!

Bottom line is "Do not give up!". Any customer service[0]
centre's indicator is to have the calls closed as quick as possible, and maybe have as many calls as possible to justify their existence. What you can do is to kick them where it hurts more, that is, keeping the request for service case open until your problem is resolved to your satisfaction.

Cheers,

Ino!~

[0] - In this case the service is more akin what a bull does to a cow.

Unfortunately, not for the mine CDA162005/4. Says:

CDA162005/4 is not supported or you have entered an incorrect number.

If the number is correct it means that your operator does not approve usage of the service for this device. If the number is incorrect, click Previous and enter the right number.

Seems SEUS is prohibited to update the devices of the operators with R5A02 GPRS faults reported or something like this .

Once again, I would like to extend my deep thanks to the SE morons who instead of actually fixing the problem had us fooled that they fixed it by preventing *any* CDA from accessing the update service and of course blaming it on the operator. What operator?! I've got a /3 which is absolutely SIM free!!!

P.S. CDAs /10 through /13 apparently work but it's still R4A02 for them, though...

I have 162005/3 and everything went great,no problems whatsoever. even the restore went good. the only noticeable bug I found is with my hbh-200 if I don't answer a call it hangs and disconnects from the phone and I have to restart the phone and headset but if I answer and make calls normally there is no problem at all. what is going on??? before that didn't happen. but all other headsets work ok. Ahhhhh, so that explains why my CDA162005/3 SIM free is telling me the operator has blocked the service, it's BLOODY SIM FREE!!!

Damn their neverending updates to SEUS - I even brought my DSS-25 with me at work in the hope that they'll get it fixed.
