I applied for my pac today from O2.
Can I still go and get a v800 on the £40 tariff tomorrow and port my number when the pac comes through?
I'd like to get this asap, rather than wait until next week. |

No - you'll have to wait until you have your PAC before you can get your new contract. Only Orange and 3 will allow you to port in after starting a contract. |

Can someone explain the offers available in the shops?
Looking online the Traiffs seem rather poor to be honest. And I dont see any mentions of free txts or video minutes, or anything actually

Does anyone know how much vodafone has "branded" the phone? I know that the unbranded one is as yet unavailable, but does it have the problems associated with other Vodafone branded SE's? (playing mp3's as ring tones, changing button functions, etc)

Ok just ordered my V800 online...wooohooo..oh and the online website allows you to select your phone number coooolll..so my new number is 0777888...GUESS THE REST...Hahahah I think thats a really cool number.. It will arrive on Friday morning cant wait to see it. I am so glad about the walled garden thing
Has anyone put a 3 UMTS card and seen if it will accept it? I know its a long shot, but hey its worth a try. And finally has anyone tried to pair it with a laptop or pocket-pc? Are you getting close to broadband speeds when browsing...

my V800 just arrived at home and my son, who is off school sick, has put it on charge but says its cool and the outside and inside displays are very good. He also mentioned that the buttons are illuminated blue.
anyway, he has good taste like me so now I'm worried I might actually like this phone 
gotta wait until tonight before I get to play with it though

my son usually gets first choice of my old phones but I'll first have to decide if I will keep this one. If I get time I'll knock up a little review.

The phone is out in stores in Sweden yes.
I bought mine yesterday at a Vodafone store in central Stockholm. They told me that they had recieved fewer units than they could meet the demand with.
But they also told me that they were going to get new units all the time. Seems like they are counting heavily on the V800 to drive contract sales.
Just f y i, the phone is awesome
