(c)redit goes to http://www.mobilmania.cz/Bleskovky/AR.asp?ARI=108363
but there is a proble, once you typed let's say "jonh", you cannot erase the "nh" and write "hn" to complete it to "john", you have to wait until the grey box disappears (ca 5 seconds) and then you have do it over.
quite cumbersome, but maybe after another 10 years we will see some real intelligent search function in SE phones
SE simply sucks when it comes to basic phone features (the worst addressbook on the market, very crippled search function, very poor calendar..). SE phones are just toys for people with max 10 contacts (well except for Pxxx series... ) |

The R2AA003 software update not only brings us the updated phonebook feature, which in my opinion will probably be refined in the future, but also for those weho use language packs EU3 and EU4 this update adds the menu language Icelandic to the phone.
A challenge for any savy mobile user! |

....i find the current addressbook letter search is fine for me........i'm waiting for update Z9ZZ999 which includes what it should've in the first place:
msgs stored in "sent" order (not rec'd order, prolly 700i biggest bug)
sleep mode (extending battery life 33%, which the 700 desperately NEEDS more than any other mobile)
calender which supports recurring appointments (like proper mobiles do)
softkey access to speaker phone during call (it's buried so far down the menu it's totally unusable 'in call' feature for me)
custom melody for any and all sounds
auto keypad locking from any menu (only locks from desktop, another bug)
option to switch off tone ramping completely (i currently loose as many calls as i get to answer in time)
volume control that controls any/all sound output
depatch with the screen saver (which has absolutely no use what so ever)
i bought the 700i because of S/E build quality (which is good) - it looked like everything i ever wanted in a mobile - but alas it's just a toy & i find it unusable as a professional tool
my wish list:
intelligent menu (learns from use), where last used task is automatically promoted to the top of the menu, so to do whatever you did last is just press, press, press (all phone will have this soon)
virtual keyboard/mouse & projector (all mobiles will have this too)

If you really wanted k700 for professional use you should know it DOES accept recurring events, you just have to use Outlook and sinc it after...thats what i do, works perfectly

well, but many ppl just NEED to insert recurring events while on go! plus you cannot edit the ones you already instered.
k700i is NOT a phone for a professional .. |

Are you saying your ringtone volume starts low and ramps up? coz mine doesn't. Using an mp3, and its damn loud from beginning to end. |
