I highly doubt that these settings wiil allow free gprs on any other network, but im sure vodafone must have some way of giving the techniciians free gprs for testing purposes... That said i doubt you'll find them, and even doubt their existence a little, if only because vodafone seem to be the better organised network... Oh and btw, this happens to be my first post from my (hopefully) free gprs... Does anyone know how to chek how much of your 1mb free gprs a month is used? Because Im still not sure that im not just using that up...

It makes sense really, 'cause o2 can keep track pf data going through your pop3 email and being routed to your phone... Can you test that you ae not charged for pop3 email from another server?? (hotmail for example?) Im really glad you found this free gprs, 'cause its really useful...

We do!? Does that mean that I can connect my p800 to my ibook and use the connection to the net for 300 minutes??? Also, is there any place I can check how much of the 300 free sms, 1mb free gprs and 300minutes dial-up I have used? I snooped around o2.co.uk but couldn't find anything... Also, what is o2's html-lite page or wap page's address?

Yeah you should be able to connect with your ibook and use 300 free internet minutes.I dont think you can check your free monthly allowance.I guess you got to keep a rough track of it yourself. They should provide this but its better than nothing having the allowances so im not complaining

o2 must of realized that no one in their right mind is going to pay £2.00 for a mb of gprs, 50p yes that seems fair

yeah £2 is too much n o2 havent created this port for our use its a 'backdoor' 4 developers,as somebody has mentioned before.this means that other networks must have a so called backdoor.is anybody getting free gprs on any other network?

Is anyone using Opera for free internet. I am asking because if u wat to use u have to enter proxy settings on Opera. Thats all.
I think if another mail program which can use proxy for connection can connect pop3, imap, smtp address. I have no time to search or to write a program for that but I think someone can do it.
Just a amil proram that can use proxy. Becaue of this proxy stuff yahoo and hotmail and other cookie including sites can not be used. |
