This thread is full of unfounded speculation about products and dates. According to SE's "Event Calendar", their next public appearance will be in New York on 20. september:
"Sony Ericsson joins the Pepcom team at a media and analyst only event to demo the gadgets you don't want to miss for holidays."
The whole event is scheduled from 6 pm to 9 pm (i.e. midnight until 3 am on the 21st in Central Europe), and includes a lot of companies.
"Holidays" in America is 4th Thursday of November through Christmas...
Edit: SE will also be present in Las Vegas at the "Mobilize" event on 19. to 24. of September, but it seems consumer products are not their focus there.

I wish I could remember where I saw that article; as far as I recall they were making a fuss baout the fact that it could use 3G networks just as easily as it could use GSM networks; now that I think about it I am not quite sure what the fuss was about.

I am sure they wud capture the ultra high end & semi high end user with P950 & P1xxx both with a $ 100/150 price difference or stop production of P800 soon |

I could see se releasing a umts smartphone soon after the p910, with the price of calls on 3uk being so cheap i could see a lot of companies signing up so a umts smartphone would be desperately needed. even a direct copy of the p910 but on umts instead of gsm might be a good idea...just my two pennies worth.

P800 is already out of production as is the P900.
a P950 or P1000 would be good, if it had a new good design and extra features like AGPS, EDGE, 3G with extra cam for video calls, 1.3MP cam, 3D java, scratch free screen and wifi.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |
