Oh yes, and the multiway pad on the nokia is quite poor too, not the same quality as the K700i joystick

Doesn't seem like the service menu works if you assign the ">" to "write new" can anyone confirm or tell me how to fix? Currently running R2A FW...
hopefully going to a patchstation soon... |

You can use the flash led as SOS signal, you just have to enter to the service menu ...

Does anyone know whether you can set automatic profile switch on the K700 - e.g. switch to meeting when you have a meeting set in the calendar? I could do this on the T610, but can't find a way to do it on the k700... |

9 then # works to call from sim for my k700, I have R2A firmware. However I cannot do anything with the numbers when I access them like that (ie edit, add, etc.). |

STRAP ATTACHMENT? Check Page 3 of this thread for Masseur's answer. By the way after a year of using both the T610 and T630; and three weeks of using the K700, I only figured this out last week!

One little tip or trick is to add an entry in the address book: Name "A", and no number. I did this after my daughter complained about that I had sent her about 10 empty SMS messages. When I tried to reconstruct what had happened, I found out, that if you press the joystic repeatedly, you enter messages, new message, SMS,contacts, the first name in the address book, and SEND. As my daughter was the first name in my address book, she got a number of messages while my phone was put inside a somewhat too tight pocket. Adding the "A" entry in the address book without a number stored, makes the phone stop at that entry, since it cannot find a valid number to send the SMS to, in case I forget to lock the keyboard again. I recall having to do a similar trick on the T68, only that there I had to add an entry that was stored last in the address book. |

I know there are tricks for T610 to copy, cut and paste the number on our phonebook. such as if u press * and 1 at the same time, then u can cut then paste using * and 3.
Anybody know how to do this on our K700? I tried the same tricks for my K700 and it wont work.

To my disappointment, I found that those commands do not work on the K700. If you press * in the phone book, the * is appended at the end of the selected number. The only workaround I have found is to add a new number, and when prompted to specify the number, fetch it from the phonebook, using the search function. |

to altemyr: a much much simpler solution is to lock your phone's keypad (* and More button) while storing it in your pocket. Helps you not make a random call also. |
