Even better, the Tri-band phone is tweaked for US markets, with 850/1800/1900MHz bands,

Like i said it's to accomodate the US... casue they have a big push for 850 mhz there... so they tweak it a bit..
ala 6620 (for North America) vs 6600

I agree. SE have been successful in EMEA with the P900 but not in the USA. This "new" configuration is a relatively cheap upgrade that will allow them access to a very very large market.

Okay, I am totally dependent on GSM 850. As much I loved my P800, I couldn't use, even back in summer of 2003 because of no GSM 850 support. Since, I have been using Nokia 3600 and Treo 600, whcih are the only smartphones to support GSM 850. Are you guys just speculating that its a N.A. version because there isn't big changes....I mean, I haven't seen anything else anywhere to indicate that the 850 band will be included

Sold my p900 along time ago, and since we don't get contract and plans here, we pay full price for the damn thing.
Tried the xphone, and I sold that too, only one thing waiting for me now and that's the mpx. |

The P900 may be SE's last Symbian Smartphone according to this:

I hope not. |

I hope that Layla, if she comes to the market has the following items:
More internal memory
the problem with P900 is too little internal memory. Mine is constantly complaining of low memory resources, and the largest portion of the memory goes into messaging.
Plus, the K700 has almost four times the memory of the P900... now there's nothing right about that!
Memory Stick Duo Pro supprt
Yes! Imagine, 1 GB of data storage!
That would truly make P900 an MP3 player that ROCKS!
AAC / M4U support in the Audio player
The P900 is capable of playing AAC coded audio.... in the Video player. AAC is smaller than MP3 with the same or better audio quality compared to file size.
WLAN
YESS!!! Enabling WLAN would truly make the P900 a laptop replacement... if all you do with a laptop is write email.
And since SE are seem to be looking into the issue of a P900 refresh, I would think that they would improve the display, but the camera might not see any improvements.

If this phone does come out for the american market with the changes that people are talking about, then the U.S. will finally have a phone that the rest of the world can be jealous of. Even if it is just a minor upgrade, we get phone models way too late in their respective life cycles. I'm crossing my fingers Layla has 850mHz and actually makes it to final production |

Well SE USA is already selling the P900 with 900Mhz another P900 with
850Mhz would be not only confusing, but also unlikely. A keyboard and wifi only minor upgrade and an wifi with the 11b standard already "old" tech. So why developing it and risking low sales? My guess likely 29%.

well a big "hint" of the 850mhz band is probably in the screenshots of p910, the pics might not be real but lets say the pics are real, that almost 100% indicates it's a na phone considering the fact it says p910a and not p910i, i know it's a little late to reply at this, LOL, but i haven't been paying much attention to this, |

everyone seems to be complaining about the small qwerty keypad on layla ,ithink se will produce a foldable one with the keys spaced out so you wont press any by mistake. |
