Game Cube and PS2 emulator for the Xbrick? As far as I know there is no such thing.
The Xbox is not powerful enough to emulator these consoles. You would have problems emulating them on high end PC.
As for graphics, some games have the same graphic quality, because they are PS2 ports. At times some PS2 ports can run worst on the Xbrick i.e Need for Speed: Undergound where is loads of slowdown, but very smooth on the PS2.
Xbox 2 will lunch in 2005 but it will not have a bulit in harddrive to cut cost.

I really doubt that they will skip the hardrive in X-box2, since thats one of microsoft´s advantages to PS(x). Heard a rumor saying that PS3 and X-box2 wont be launched until 2006. |

that sounds about right...2006, or 2007 i reckon. They can still make a lot of money from existing consoles.

Wow the biggest forum ive had. Any way i would always have a playstation because they have produced 2 good consoles in a row. Not many people had faith in them but they were both good with good selection of games. O yea i almost forgot, with the xbox controllers because they are so big u need to jump on da buttons lol

I have all 3 consoles. The one i play on the most is the gamecube. Mainly for the star wars, pn0.3, mario kart dd games. The least played is ps2. Mainly cos ps2 is flawed just like the ps1 was when it first came out. Snow just chuck out consoles with faults so people have to say out more money later on for a replacement. Same with the games. There are so many because sony just churn them out weather they are good or not. Not to mention the huge amount of clones in each game category.

XBOX ROCKS!!! Splinter Cell 2 is Simply awesome PS2 just cant match the graphical flair or the online experience, so what if its got 2 billion games its a good two years older than the Xbox so it should have more games anyway. i only got a PS2 to play GT4 and as that is delayed until later in the year i sold it last week!

Is it just like the first one? Because I didn't like the it much. Got about 80% thru, got so boring I couldn't be arse finishing it.
I recommend Ninja Gaiden.... oh the graphics... ohh the blood... Nothing feels better than chopping someones head off and kicking'em down the stairs.

Ok. I think the Xbox is the best…..
I own a PC, Xbox, PS2 and a GameCube. I play on the Xbox the most, cos it’s the best.
Its hardware spec as discussed earlier is obviously superior. To those who say ‘but the Ps has got more games’, who the hell is going to own all of the Xbox titles let alone all of the PS2 titles. The only reason I have one is for GTA, might as well go in the bin now that Xbox havet. Also the DVD player on the PS2 is bobbins, totally crap. The Xbox DVD player is superb. If you don’t like the big controllers get the S controllers, they are fine.

Ok right now in time. Xbox clearly wins cos its more powerful and they both have similar games. However, as far as winning the consol battle, sony win hands down. They are still outselling the competition and have been around ages. Xbox2 and ps3 are coming out at similar times which shows that sony consols have the most staying power

hopefully the PS3 will contiue its great line up of games and match or rise above the power of the XBOX 2 to diminish the argument |

PS poo comes 3rd followed by X-Box 2nd & Gamecube 1st
Sony just chuck out games and low quality products. Its no wonder they have had to close down/axe so many jobs seeing as how much money they are losing.
X-Box is a good machine with lots of potential, that is, if you want to butcher you console (so far I've chromed my X-box and my Gamecube/GBA player. My PS2 has a slightly new dusty grey colour. Thinking of some led's next). Games are of good quality, even the 'ports' from lesser consoles feel better and more fluid. Built in hard drive with loads of memory for storing music and there is no real need to buy memory cards unless you are taking you saves around to your mates. The pads are slightly on the big side, the S pad seems to have a delay after you press a button. But the big pad is great for games like Halo. People who complain about this small problem must have never heard of the Atari Jaguar. Now that had a big pad with loads of buttons (20 in total if I remember correctly).
Gamecube is a games only machine which to me is one of the + points of the machine. This makes it affordable as there is no extra cost wacked on for the 'DVD player or hard drive'. Most people have already got a DVD player anyway. Games take a while to come out but when they do they are of good quality and most have replay value. GC also has broadband access as well as dial up like the X-box. The controler is a bit spaced out but it is good on certain games like rogue squadron and burnout. The 'C' Stick could have been bigger and the 'Z' button needed to have been somewhere else but the overall feel is better than PS2 or X-Box pads.
Oh. Btw, anyone saying that that the GC has no Dvd function should check out the Panasonic Gamecube Q. Nice piece of equipment and in a very nice silver/chrome design too.
All this talk of control pads saying 'this one is the best' or 'that one is better'. There are convertors available which allow users to use controlers on other consoles. There are also plenty of 3rd party controlers available as well. Some are at very reasonable prices. |
