With a better file manager such as FileMan from SymbianWare or the one built into SMan. These will have an option to tick somewhere saying 'show system files' or something

I'm trying to make a new picture for the "Flip closed" mode. I want to add a transparent picture on top of the "original theme" pic that's already there. But I don't know where to find the theme-pic. Anyone knows where to browse (with I.E. SMan) to find it?

I know this has been mentioned, but I would like to supplement the info. I am on R5B02 and, in Filp Closed, pressing one of the number, the speed dial contact asssociatted comes up after just 1 Sec and, if you have a pciture, it shows it. I love it.

@Shakalakin
You have to do that in flip open mode, then go to Phone application, from the Menu "Phone" choose "Call log" (or select the second icon from the left bottom corner) and you will see all your calls. Now just choose the call you want to delete and in new window from "Phone" menu pick option "Delete this entry"!

You have to unzip them using WinRaR first then the .SIS or .JAR file will be contained in the folder you unzipped to.
You then have two choices if it is an .SIS file you can just run it with the phone in the cradle and this will auto install the App...or... you can just fire up Explorer and drag the .SIS or .JAR file straight to the phone the App will be copied into the phone and can be installed via the menu, a .JAR file will almost always be placed in the Unifiled Document folder. Some of these you can installe from the menus some you can just run with an icon after copying.
As for games for the emulators they usually have a specific folder, read the docs that came with the emulator.
Themes are usually .UTZ files which are basically zipped files that contain all the pics and sounds plus a XML document to bind it all together. Maybe... ;o)
Hope this is enough info.

Do you know if there's a way to have the speaker activated by default, when you have the flip opened?
Thanks!

When you by apps or progs etc the store sometimes want the phones IMEI nr. Instead of typing *#06# (it disappears after a few sec).
Here's a little tip if you have SMan installed and want to se your IMEI number. Click on Sysinfo and scroll down to IMEI and click on it.

How do I change the order of the application list in flip closed mode? I've added 3rd party software and it shows up at the bottom of this list. Therefore I can't quickly select that application by pressing the 1-9 button, but I have to scroll to it and then select it. |

Does anyone know how to save Internet/Wap settings as well as mail (Yahoo, Gmail et al) settings, so if you format your phone, you don't need to enter all those little bits of information in. We all know that one small mistake in the settings is enough for GPRS or Mail not to work! If there is anyway one can back up just these settings and reload them when required, it would be great. Of course, backing up the C drive is one way to do it, but that backs up the entire drive... not what I'm looking for. Anyone? |
