Eldar said that this t650 is true and I believe him, but there's always a chance that the phone can end up in the trash, why? so lets say they have all this features but if the phone has so much features it has alot more bugs and a a smaller battery time, so they could decide to stop working on it....
An example of this is the p200, Eldar also stated that this is true and he probably saw one but he said a month ago that the p200 was cancelled from se and we won't see it......
the only real information is therefore the press release a it's probably going to be in march..... |

What do you say about the 6230's memory-card which is located beneath the battery? Is that a smart solution? |

Like the N-Gage, having to turn off the phone, take out the battery and then removing the MMC .... a big turn off.
Always feel the MMC/SD cards should be exchangeable even while the phone/PDA is active.
Perhaps this is another "Let's try to make this near perfect phone a little less perfect by taking out this feature or making that part more difficult to use .... and we'll put it back in a same phone with new casing".... |

The display shouldn't be an issue since the active/usable area in these displays are basicly the same. That's because SE uses static battery and signal indicators in the top-part of the screen.

What I would like to see is just how useful the infrared and Bluetooth are in transferring and receiving files. The current Nokia 6250 doesn't accept pictures/ringtones etc. via infrared like the SE phones. It's basically a V-Card beamer and PC modem connection.

In new Nokia phones, including 6230, you can also transfer other files that vcard and vcalendar, ie. pics etc.

To be honest, if the phone book also stored addresses (which it does not) it would probably be enough for me to take it over the P900 (as I have a small Notebook PC and don't really need a smartphone, just a organiser with good MMS capabilities - the MMC and MP3 swing it in the 6230's favour).

You can also store addresses to the phone book in Nokia phones. |

| The Nokia has the extra FM radio, MP3 player, video ability and MMC card (although I think they should have tried to use SD cards to overcome the 128meg limit). It is still quite an impressive spec. despite having a slightly 128x128 smaller screen than the SE (128x160) phones. |

i've seen 512mb MMC cards on ebay. i think the 128mb barrier was only for old MMC stuff, like the sl45 could not accept even a 128mb one, but now with firmware upgrades, it can reach 256mb, maybe even 512mb but i don't knw of anyone who's tried 512. |

Just followed your suggestion and found this:
http://koti.phnet.fi/pajunen2/ericsson/uutiset.htm (This one looks interesting, if someone could translate it...)
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/cellpoint/padrblvoreha.html
According to them T650 already exists and supports the bluetooth kit.

The T650 is a wet dream!
Why dont you blind die hard fans that make stupid, untrue statements about Nokia just swallow your pride and realise that SE will NEVER be as good as Nokia.
I know- I have both!
If thew 6230 was a SE phone, we wouldnt hear the end of it on this friggen forum about how awesome it is and how much it kills Nokia.
Well sorry to say this, but its a Nokia, and all of you Nokia haters are going to have to stick with your precious SE. Meanwhile, unless you have a P900 (sweet phone), you're missing out on some awesome phone technology.
As my signature says to all you ignorant SE fans:
Nokia Sux? Put a logo on it and you'd think it was awesome!! |
