@ Super G you must surely be one of the lucky nokia owners to come up with such a response, fortunately P800 users are able to write on the screens of their phones if they so choose, no need for t9 as most are educated enough to know how to write without the t9 help... can you nokia owners say the same? tap tap away my friends tap tap away.

Waw, i'm even more impressed with your answer.
It's not about education, but convenience.
P900 now supports T9. Oh why is that huh?
T9 input is extremely fast (on Nokia phones at least), and one-handed. It is a must have in a phone with a keypad, sorry.
Anyway, FYI all happy owners of the Nokia 6108 can in fact use handwriting recognition as well as T9. |

I have to agree that T9 is a really important feature. I prefer handwriting recognition when I'm sitting down but when I'm running though the city and writing a message at the same time T9 would be fantastic (getting a P900 today, btw).
I have to comment on that about Nintendo working with Motorola. Back in the early 90's when Nintendo wanted to make a CD-based console they decided to work with Sony. It was going to be a CD-add-on for the Super Nintendo. However, for whatever reson Sony and Nintendo split up (probably due to arguments over revenue-sharing). The CD-based Super Nintendo developed by Sony became the original PlayStation and the rest is history. What I mean is that you shouldn't put too much into what Nintendo does. They're famous for dumping projects in the late stages of developement. |

Because I am convinced that the ngage is a flop. Just because it is an 'other manufacturers section' doesn't mean that I you have to discuss the topics in a certain 'polite to certain manufacturers' manner..! |

Played with one today. Not a whole lot impressed with symbian on the phone though...
Way to much for that kind of graphics I think. Perhaps the ngage 2 or 3 shall be interesting.
But however I think nokia has awoken the 'sleeping dragon' nintendo. Which is going to do something drastic with the next gameboy... Think about it, the gameboy advance SP was just an update to the enclosure, no graphical improvement.
I think it was a refresh to keep the masses content. And when the next gameboy comes out it probably will have the power of a PS1... |

Nintendo has something big planned for next year, and Super g stated that nintendo and motorolla have something in the works. Nintendo is not saying anything at the moment but i bet it has something to do with that. The motoboy, probably at half the price of ngage. We'll see. ;-)

I think the motoboy will be much bether than the n-gage. But i think the motoboy will sell werry poor cause n-gage is not selling werry wel and that is a nokia. How do you think a moto will sell good when n-gage is a nokia and people use to buy nokia, just because it is a nokia. |

Well if nintendo and motorolla market the motoboy to gamers like nokia did with the ngage there'll be far less skepticism because of the nintendo name backing it. Ngage has nothing backing its game aspect.

Why don't nintendo just invent a gameboy cartridge with an antenna, where you slip in a SIM card and turns any gameboy into a cell phone. That's possible. But of course you can't play games anymore with that cartridge attached?!? |

But I think if they want to sell a motoboy they better give it a better name.
I know I certainly would turn away from something named motorola at first glance ! |

Am I allowed to ressurect a thread, cause I must say that a lot has happened since '03 in the ngage domain of gaming, there're lots of copy-cat gaming devices out there and the ngage QD has kinda created a dedicated niche market out there, the QD a flop? think again, they sold over 1.5 million sets and there are some pretty engaging (pardon the pun) game out there for it |

Exactly! The QD is doing pretty well.
