@GoH
I havent tried to play on PPCs or Palms, so I can't tell. But I understand your viewpoint though.

But I don't mind playing on my NGage
The games I have are impressive (vs GBA) and play very smoothly without any problem.

but shouldnt the GBA triumph over the n-gage in terms of games? it is made solely for games, right? and it has a bigger screen. the n-gage triumphs the gba in terms of multimedia capabilities and connectivity, so i figured a hardcore gamer should really go for a gba.

isnt the GBA more vivid den the n-gage!? n-gage has only 4096 colors and vertically aligned games.

No it's not actually.
Graphics on the NGage are definitely nicer than on GBA. It may have less color (in some configurations only. GBA does not always support 32k colors!!), but it's already quite good.
The screen resolution is higher than on GBA.
Yes you hold the phone vertically, but that's not a major problem really. On SonicN, you can press on the "#" button to alternate between wide mode and full screen, and it is useful sometimes.
Pandemonium is nice, the 3D is fast (except some framerate drops in a few places- but I have a preversion only), and the vertical screen alternative suits it well. The camera is following properly.

As IGN site said, there are two types of games for NGage. Those that can compare with GBA, and those that put GBA capabilities to shame.
Having played with GBA for quite many times, the Ngage is definitely better. Actually, going back on GBA after having played NGage is funny

No
The screen is still in vertical position, but only half of the screen is used (the rest is blue, and displays Sonic). You can switch between modes during the game without any need to pause or anything.

oops. the pic screwed up. i suck as ASCII drawings...

aniwaes, i saw the display, and i must admit that its vivid even though its only 4096. but isnt half the screen a tad too small? and is the screen size equivalent to that of the 3650?

@ GoH

Yes half the screen is small, definitely
But you need not use it very often (I personally use it in one place only which is the boss in Level 6, Act2 in Sonic N). I havent passed that boss yet... kind of bothers me.

The screen size is the same as 3650, 6600 (really nice phone this one).
