@jplacson these photos show a thin quartz screen format, that is 320x208. P810 will be very probably running the symbian 7.0s uiq os and that means the same screen as the rest of uiq devices.
well, i guess we'll have to wait until the official presentation.

UIQ supports everything from 320x208 until 320x240 so even if it did run UIQ, it can handle the 240 width. My friend at SE told me last Feb that the P800 successor will run a wider screen...so I assumed the wider 240...who knows... se might just make it 320x210!!! hehehehe
I hope (and pray) that they will decide to use the Sony Clie transreflective screens... the P800 screen is fine... but it would be nice to have a screen that doesn't vanish in bright sunlight... and hopefully a light sensor that activates the screen light only when needed to conserve even more power. |

If SE really releases their phone 4Q this year, the situation will be very interesting. SE P810 vs Siemens SX1 vs Nokia 6600. So, if they come out on time, here in my country they will come a month or two later. In another month the price will drop down, and then comes my birthday in March. I love you SE, Siemens and Nokia. It will be a hard decision anyway. But am I the only one who is happy? |

Looks like the stylus is placed in the lower left part of the back of p810, but whats with the flip?
there are no.. "pointy things" that touches the touchscreen, perhaps its electronic? meaning the flip doesnt come off.. |

skjalg is right? The flip seems to have no contact with the screen???
Backside of flip seems to be totally flat? Shoud be small "knobs" there...
And, at the hinges, what's those two knobs seen there?

Probably something that tells the phone if the flip is open or closed |

erm.. as for the "pointy things" i read somewhere (sorry dont have time to find the link) thatthe new keypad is electronic, not contact based.
Makes sense actually as it woudl prolly allow more than one buttong to be pressed atthe smae time.. and also allow different keypads (joypads, etc).. dont think it woudl be as durable ast the P800 flip though..
Smart design.. very liek the older SOny phones.. nice speaker grill.. btu i still prefer my P800, it has a look that grows on you.. i love it.. the gals love it!
I prolly wont be changign my phone, even thoguht hte P810 seems better, its is in my opinion not a LOT better to change from the P800, however, i bet it will entice other users!

Superluminova:
Do you know where handy took those pictures?
does the phone have the leds at the top? was it a dummy you tested or a working unit? If so, was it UIQ 2.1?
Do you have any pictures of it from the side? want to see how slim it is..
too bad you didn`t bring a proper cam to take pictures with, I will try to get some photos of it by the end of July (my SE contact is on vacation until then)
Thanks!

You can see that the pics are taken buy a P800, because you see it on the two first pictures that the P800 is reflecting in the P810's screen. |

P810 is nice while the Sony Ericsson SO505i isn't my taste. Otherwise my T610 is far more enough for my needs...
