If U knew Dutch, I'd direct you to 'the great big 'T Mobile SHIT' thread'.
But anyway, the story in a nutshell: in January 2002 I took a service contract with local provider BEN. Everything was fine.
On 25 Feb 2003, T Mobile took over BEN. Now everything is not so fine anymore. When BEN became T Mobile, they stopped selling the contract that I have (which still runs until January 2004). That in itself is not a bad thing, but they also altered my services. So what used to be an all in service fee, now has turned into a 'voice only' deal. But I still pay the same money!! If I want everything to work as it did before, T Mobile ( ) suggest I purchase a new GPRS contract ADDITIONAL to what I already have. I cannot upgrade the current contract until November 2003. I can only ADD the stupid GPRS contract, where my contract says it is already included. If I want to get out altogether and get Vodafone and take my phonenumber with me, I pay EURO 200 penalty for breaking my contract!!!
Why don't they just go F**K themselves?????
Anyway, so I'm stuck with a good phone, which functions are limited by my network provider ( I cannot download anything like ringtones through WAP for example, coz T MObile is blocking the option on my current contract). To get the phone working to its full capacity, I need to upgrade my service agreement to a (more expensive) new T Mobile package. If I don't, they will continue shutting down services until I capitulate (is that correct English btw??). If I refuse and start deducting from my bill everything that does not actually work, they will shut down my SIM altogether and send a collecting agency after me. If I wanna switch providers, I get a penalty. If I want to avoid the penalty, I will need to change my phonenumber, my name, face and address and move to a different country (bender here I come ), OR I can choose to just pay the monthly basic fee to keep the contract on until January, but simply not use the SIM anymore.
None of the options are very compelling, so T Mobile makes me BIG TIME!
