Sad but true. Reviewers are already writing off any flagship device with less than 6GB ram. Like WTH!

Why is it important to have that much RAM? iPhone 7 has 2GB and absolutely destroys all Androids in speed tests and switching apps. I assume my Z5 will be able to do split screen on Android 7 so I'm more interested in optimisation with already very capable hardware.
Android is looking very dull to me these days, I'd like to see a massive design overhaul to make it lightweight and simple. Leave it open for launchers to add the customisations but the backbone needs a refresh. New lockscreen with widgets, new notification bar, anything fresh and new. |

It is important for me because I rarely buy new phone (every 3 years or so) and I need it to be future proofed as much as possible. Besides that, I pay premium and I expect premium in return.
Also, the Iphone/Android analogy is not suitable in this case because the fact is that Andoid is more RAM hungry and if you plan on having the same phone for 3 or so years, you should have as much RAM as possible.
The link doesn't work for me. Can you please explain what's it about?

The above link is about how the XZ is the most popular phone in the 2nd half of the year for Android worldwide. đ

Just because it has a crippled fingerprint sensor in the United States doesnât mean that it canât be a hit phone everywhere else.
App metrics company Apteligent has put out a â2016 Mobile Year in Reviewâ on what it has tracked with its performance-tracking APIs. Those APIs are integrated into apps big, small, mobile and PC.
But strictly speaking about Android smartphones that were launched in the second half of this year, the data seems to say that the Sony Xperia XZ has come out on top as the most used in the global market right now.
Yep, thanks to that Galaxy Note 7 melting down and the subsequent recall, itâs Sony that has the far-and-away lead on its competition with nearly 0.15 percent in share.
At its peak, the Note 7 snagged more than 0.35 percent in early October. The XZ passed by the Note on its way up in mid-November. The Note 7 currently stands at below 0.05 percent and handily beats the LG V20, HTC 10 evo (or HTC Bolt) and even the OnePlus 3T â though all three phones only got started with sales within the last couple of months.
The Moto Z strikes just above Note 7 territory while the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL follow on respectively at around 0.06 percent. |

Some good news for Sony's flagship. So for CES, are we expecting a Smartwatch and two phones at least?

No surprise, Chinese players (Huawei, Oppo, Vivo) also hit hard in my country nation-wide.
Build new shop retail channel and television advertisement with celebrities
same (if) successful formula of Samsung.
.......
Android Wear 2.0 is coming early 2017 if Sony still engage in smartwatch market
which seem dying out of majority consumer interested, we should see something new by IFA 2017.
personally I would love to see fitness band with better accurate heart-rate detection than today offering.
