Can any L930 owner comment on how their GPS reception is in forests? While my Xperia Acro S has no trouble keeping a GPS connection in forests, the L930 review on notebookcheck showed that the reviewer's unit completely lost GPS reception in a forest.

My cousin is thinking about getting a 930 next week. What is everyones experience with this phone regarding battery life.

Normally get around 36 hours out of mine with average use, it all depends on how you use it & also how you set it up.
If you hammer the wifi or 4G watching videos online or listen to loads of music over Bluetooth then your looking at charging it every night.
The 930 battery life does get better after a few charge / discharge cycles. |

^ that's very good for the 930... wpcentral is full of "horror" stories about overheating and awful battery life |

Why I guess there maybe some dodgy 930's out there, I get the feeling a lot of the horror stories are down to the operator.
NFC was turned ON as default out the box, this does cause the phone to get warm.
All the app & software updates that download & install on first set up also cause the phone to get warm.
I turned my NFC OFF until I need it, I also let the phone install all it's updates then I restarted it to make sure they all worked correctly.
On first boot up when plugged in to charger & wi fi on my 930 did get very warm, once all the updates where installed & I restarted it the heating issue went away.
Today i've used 39% battery in 12 hours, plenty of texts, some phone calls, a little bit of internet browsing & Cortana checking in for location.
For a smart phone im really impressed with the battery life. |

^ yes, that's very good...especially considering the screen size and the battery size
And like always, there are way more people complaining on the internet compered to people that don't have any problems.

Also new battery saver option you can turn off apps running in the background!!

Also noticed as an bonus the Nokia wireless chargers can even charge the phone with the CP 637 case on  |

I have a 930 arriving tomorrow sometime. I have 14 days to test it to see weather I want to keep it or not. Lets hope

I just looked at some pics from the 930 on wpcentral and the results are very good overall.. its on par with the 1520.
I think Nokia are betting on this sensor/lens combo to become the "standard" for their mid/high end stuff .. its a very good balance between size and IQ. I am still hoping for a imaging flagship tho.. 
I played around with some full res images and downscaled them down to 3840x2160 which is the default 8Mpix resolution on the 808 just to see how it performs, and its very good.. I think 8Mpix is better than the auto 5Mpix. Its still no where near as clean as the old phone, but still better than anything in that class. |

Ok,beautiful stunning device incredibly fast and smooth. Such a pleasure to use,amazing camera etc. Anyway I have one of the bad early batches guess I should have waited. No heating issue or purple tinted screen but I have white streaks at the top of the screen. When on an AMOLED screen you have deep blacks at the top moving downwards on the display are white lines or streaks. They kind of come and go but it is seen and is annoying. F**k sake only set it up twenty minutes ago 😞😠But I have to say stunning device and so much nice to handle than the massive 1520. Wireless charging plate is in the box too
