Excellent article, perfect for consoling any Samsung haters who feel the GS4 is going to "butcher" their favourite smartphone.
Everyone wants to be the 1st to predict the end for Apple, Samsung, Nokia etc...its quite entertaining
WRT Android4.2.2 for the XZ, I won't believe it until I see it, I remember a certain Sony fanboy saying the Xperia S JB update was coming in a matter of weeks late last year...here we are in mid March 2013

Doesn't matter. Sony's ICS 4.0.4 is better than Samsung 4.2.2
Not my words, but what codeworkxxx a Elite XDA Samsung Galaxy developer had to say about Sony vs Samsung software
Not to mention we don't have security exploits like Exynos
Nice poll

Entropy512, Elite XDA developer's comment on S4 :
"And Galaxy S4 - should've been called the Galaxy S3s - *yawn*
Z is awesome."
Surely he's way more intelligent than Samsung trolls and Sony fanboys

This thread has degenerated into Sony vs Samsung so I am off to wait for my BlackBerry Q10

You can laugh all You want. But SGS IV has everything(camera, video, software, dimensions, screen, hardware, battery) better than Xperia Z, except waterproof.
And btw, would Apple introduce only one software function that Samsung presented, fanboys and reviewers around the world would have their pants full of how amazing and innovative Apple is |

Samsung's 4.2.2 is still in Beta, I'm sure at this moment even Samsungs 4.1.2 is better than it, as it is certainly better than anything Sony have spewed all over Android.
Not my words, but what codeworkxxx a Elite XDA Samsung Galaxy developer had to say about Sony vs Samsung software
You don't have to tell me they are not your words, you generally don't have much of an opinion, you just take anything negative said about Samsung, agree and regurgitate it, did your common sense not kick-in when someone compared Beta FW to a FW that has been around for a year? Don't answer that, I fear you'll spew more garbage here.
Codeworkxxx may not like TouchWiz in general but there is +50million of us who do:

It's also a major part of the reason Samsung are not only the only Android OEM making actual profit but the reason they are top Smartphone and phone manufacturer.
WRT, Exynos security exploits, those were solved in XELLA 4.1.2, we are now two updates up from that, but lets talk about these exploits...Please tell me Randomuser, exactly how many people actually found themselves victim to malware due to the Exynos exploit? Please give me actual figures, don't be like the Apple and WP fans who talk about Android malware but can't even link me to a single user actually affected. Thanks.

I like the way you ignore everything negative about Samsung and pretend as if Samsung is an angel
BTW I remember you saying Z wasn't even better than S3. What about S4 now ? It even looks the same !!!
CPU ? 10% faster than Z at best. 25k in Antutu the best score, in some others its slower than One
Camera ? Same as Z but with FAKE oversaturated colors like the "S"AMOLED S for........
Build Quality? - Far worse
Screen? - Yayyyyyyy!! even more saturated than S3 and dimmer
Software - Loads more new gimmicks for Samsung fanboys. Same old lag. Dialler still taking 2 secs to open. LMAO Even with OCTAAAAAA
Battery - Possibly marginally better or maybe worse than Z.
And at least a million times worse looking than Z
Plus you get the pride and honor of supporting a brand that shamelessly copies other brands ideas and technologies. S4 camera software courtesy LG Optimus G Pro and HTC One

Ha, ha. You have been able to do this on a cheap phone like Sony Sola since last year. In fact, the whole float touch technology is not that new as demonstrated by Sola, except for Samsung fans of course.

That's the definition of being a fanboy.

That's what companies do when they run out of ideas, throw in whatever technology they can find without any further thought about the usability and see if it sticks.

Xperia Sola had the 'glove' feature before the 920.

A comment from that article.Very funny.
"I haven’t yet handled, played with, or slept beside a Galaxy S IV." Then why the heck are you writing an article about it? Please sit down.

But that article is mostly full of quotes from people who have handled, played with, and slept beside a Galaxy S IV |

Maybe it was, but Sony used it only in cheap phones, flagship Sony phones don't have this feature... Sony is known from developing pretty cool functionalities, but fails to support them on all their phones. I remember BestPic in k800i(2006 phone), it was absolutely fantastic, but somehow, Sony(Ericsson) didn't bother to use that in their future phones. Only when phones became dual-core, quad-core other manufactuers could match the burst speed of BestPic. |
