As you mentioned, those phones by asus,lg and htc are not widely available. And all three are not huge players. Globally Sony will have S4 pro phone at the same time or earlier than most. Dogo will be shipping in a few markets before end of January and test ofthe world by early february. As for what sony has over these 3 phones, quite a lot but design alone is enough to draw away attention from the ugly trio by LG, HTC, and Asus.  |

Yeah I know that Sony is superior in design part, but the problems is people who love to buy Flagship Smartphones are mostly cares about CPU :<
Now I really hope Sony use ST-Ericson chips for their future devices, Qualcomm is only favor HTC and others :

Man, any HTC ( except for the J tablet ) and Asus this year is more beautiful than any current 2012 Xperia. LG makes ugly phones, I agree for that.

HTC J is already behind Odin in some specs...
Battery - 2020 mAh against Odin's 2500 or 2800...
Cam - 8 mp against Odin's 13 or 16 mp...(pixel count is not important, still I hope 2013 Xperias will have some great cams)...
Internal storage - 16 GB against Odin's 32 GB...
Body size... Even though both of them sport 5" display, HTC has the length of 143 mm with the bezels against Odin's 133 mm(that's the length of Ion...  )... So Odin is already a winner...  
Only thing that HTC has against Odin is "Waterproof"...  
I wish Odin was waterproof...
@Randomuser... Could U explain why is Sony is hesitating to give waterproof for Odin...??? I mean, jus see, a lot of people choose Xperia V over T & TX jus cos os waterproof... When Sony managed to give waterproof for top-end models like Acro S & V, why not Odin...??? Heard that even Dogo will have waterproof...
SO could U explain abt this waterproof thing, pls...???
PS : The above comparison is valid only if the rumored specs of Odin are true....

Only the Japanese model of HTC J will be waterproof, not the global and US version. Also japanese 2013 sony phones will be water resistant, as usual. Japanese sister model of Dogo is water resistant, not Dogo.

It would be better if Sony announce Yuga and Odin in Japan now to tease us fans, and then release the International version at CES

Yuga/Odin projects are not complete. There is a lot of work left, at best they can be announced at CES if sony changes their plans. |

SLCD1/2/3 is made by Sony
Also let me repeat - HTC J/LG Optimus G will not be available globally this year. So there is no 3-4 month wait.
