Shame the HTC One X has a poor camera, The SG2 and Xperia S have better cameras.
All the hype over the Camera on the One X and it's a letdown, Gsmarena say it's poor too. |

Htc has never been good at cameras

That's true but this one was hyped up and apparently HTC put a lot of effort and money into the camera side of things but seems it was all for nothing. |

Not sure I agree with this. Camera, from what I have seen is the best on any HTC device.
I took a photo with a friend's One X and compared to the Sony XS; both exhibit a fair bit of compression noise. One X is cooler colour, not so saturated like X S. Both show good contrast and sharpness but it a bit of a pity than HTC feel into the same trap as Sony but compressing the files too much. |

Good news, shame someone can't mod the Sony X S cam as well! |

Yes, I am very disappointed in the Xperia S too. I was hoping for more, I will just hang on a bit longer with my G Note and S2 for now. But I so want ICS but they don't have proper ones yet for these LTE versions. This why this One X is so attractive. But the problem in Canada is they only offered the white version with 16GB. I really would prefer the 32GB in black (I am getting tired with my phones in white now). |

Crazy. A friend of mine who works in Phones4U told me a story last week about a man who bought a brand new HTC One X. He got one sim free spent about £500. On the same night he went out partying & managed to fall over & smash his handset drunk. He was not insured. Yet he had the cheek to walk back into the store & ask for a replacement after HE smashed it. The store manager said no damaging the phone yourself is not covered by warranty. Yet Phones4U head office authorized it He was lucky.

I am resisting to upgrade my S2/Iphone 4S for the HTC One X. I had chance to hold it and play with it briefly in a store. It is so smooth moving from each screen and apps. The camera burst mode is crazy fast. I wish more folks will post HTC ONE X sample shots. |

A similar mod for X S has been available since weeks on XDA. |

Can someone tell me if HTC stripped out the quick settings on the notification shade?
I want the wifi, BT and other settings in there but they just have notifications of email and sorts in there now.
Is this HTC ripping it out? I believe standard ICS build has it in there.
This is on my current Galaxy Note but just running GB. But I want this quick setting that I had for all my other android devices.
Thanks |

The quick settings are gone from the Notification bar. They are however not far away. Once you pull down the Notification Area, if you click on settings the quick settings are at the top. It is an extra click admittedly.
You can also install an app from Google Play called Widgetsoid2.x (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jim2&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5qaW0yIl0.) which will bring the quick settings you want back to the Notification area.
If it is to be it is up to me! |

Apparently some One X have been pulled from sale due to issues. See more at www.gsmarena.com
