Miss UK, I think the Samsung Galaxy s2 comes in a 32gb version although I have not seen plenty of them. This new iteration has nothing new to offer except if you are an iPhone fan. I think that this will appeal mostly to Apple and iPhone loyalists and no one else. It does nothing to call others to it.

Nothing new in iphone 4s. The voice recognition is not new at all. I believe those who have used winmo phone should've known about the great voice commander.
I've used voice commander 6 years ago with my Xperia X1 and its really great. Almost everything that apple advertise about Siri can be done and has been done on voice commander. Please note, this has been done 6 years ago and perhaps older than that.
In the beginning, I thought apple has made a new voice recognition innovation with additional hardware to improve the recognition in a noisy environment...but not ! It is just a software. This will have the same problem with all voice recognition apps where it works best in a quiet environment. In a car, when you have the stereo `ON', you'll have a hard time talking to the phone. Most of the time you will get..."voice not recognize, please repeat " reply from the phone.
No wonder the phone receives huge critics |

Yes but your forgetting that when Apple does something they do far better than everyone else sure voice commands have been around for years and I currently have it on my HTC trophy 7 which never works properly but I have a feeling that Siri will be the first one of its kind that will do as described. |

I must say I have never used voice commands or anything like that. I see no point unless maybe your driving other than that it's just laziness

@ masseur - you've one lucky daughter ! i hope you're getting a heavily subsidised price on the 4S though, especially with its £699 price tag for the 64gb model.
I think i need to get some info on how i can do for a living what you do ! money to burn ! !

I am giving this one a miss, the screen size is putting me off. The 5 is the one that is rumoured to be having a bigger screen and knowing Apple it will be better in hardware also so that is what I am waiting for.
If the 4S was at least 4''+ in screen size I would've gone for it.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

Should the fans call this iPhone 4S as iPhone 4Steve? this phone will forever mark my mind as the first of the iPhones that Steve jobs can no longer hold in his hand while making his announcements to the Apple fans and the world.

Thats good... Reminds me of Wildfire on Orange back in the day... You used to be able to say to her, 'Do me a favour' and she would reply with 'What kind of favour' in a coy voice... |

I've been playing with Siri tonight. quite impressed in fact. Also, I've swapped the stiff upper lipped UK English voice for a lovely sounding Aussie girl

Confirmed: iPhone 4S uses a Sony sensor. Based on the specs, I'm inclined to believe it's the same 8MP ExmorR unit the Xperias use (so any differences in image quality comes down to image processing; Sony is notorious for applying heavy noise reduction, which kills image detail).

oh so it's true. Look at this,he asks silly things to Siri & it seems clever but really just a gimmick imo
