will APNdroid affect email notifications? |

well when you toggle APNdroid to its off position, it effectively turns off your internet connection via your mobile network. i suppose this isn't an app for those who want their email constantly streaming in and/or have flat data rate plans.
for those like me who want to check my mail manually nor do i have a flat rate plan, then this app is perfect. |

Andy,
Just peeked at that link.... AMAZING!!! I can't wait to get my X10, hoping it may be by the end of the week..
By the way guys, I've just been thinking, and I am not sure if it would go against forum rules, but it seems like with Andoid being so open there are myriad places that one can download apps:- Straight from the developers; from Android Market itself; or lots of 3rd party sites like Androlib.
Could we start a list of trusted sites that we have used successfully and would be happy to recommend to others? As it's open-source this wouldn't contravene any of the rules ref:Piracy.
Cheers,
RH

No X10 for me yet, but these apps look cool.. they translate into another language (and speak the translated text, too):
and this one actually uses speech recognition so you "talk" the phrase and it translates it!
obviously I'm sure there are lots of kinks, but it's one of those cool things to have.

+1 for beebplayer just wish you could look for archive radio like fighting talk and that the Wi-Fi on the X10 made this usable...
Make that +2 as I received an Update last night allowing me to listen live to at least some R5 content..
Also whilst looking for more apps I stumbled upon this article:

Not trying to start a war, just feel that it's worth noting that much of the popular momentum from the people who can make a difference is coming behind Android. Got to be good news for us X10 owners..

Twicca is really nice! The official Twitter app is really really good though, don't worry 2.1 will be on the X10 for September!

anybody know a good app for locking away files (i.e., pictures, docs) and password protecting them?
@Nanu... so they say. but there's no official word. we just know sometimes in 2H. We also don't know if it's to android 2.1 ... just that there will be an update.
