If Vivaz remains that low price, it'll sell like hot cakes. The same goes to X10, especially if they provide the update to 2.1 ( at this stage X10 has most of the advantages of 2.0, but for must of the people, who aren't interested in reading specifications, 2.1 sounds much better that 1.6 - they are interested only in the numbers ).
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

the vivaz looks quite cool but hopefully the satio is supposed to be getting an update in a few weeks time to probably give it kinetic scrolling but maybe not the EQ asthe new X10 doesn't have a EQ also plus the satio has the same hardware as the vivaz, but the satio has a bigger screen and it looks nicer plus my satio i think is one of the ones that doesn't have any software/hardware faults as i have had no trouble with it at all except for the accelerometer being to sensitive and thats it so i would recommend a satio rather than a vivaz and if you do get one on contract get it from Three network as i think these satios have no problems |

That's exactly my point. It retailed for 35k but it was available for 29k. As you said, this should be available for 20k

I'd still recommend getting this over the satio as it has everything the satio has except the 12mp cam,xenon flash and .3 inch larger screen. However it runs on a faster 720Mhz processor, has a more polished UI, a higher capacity battery 1200maH,HD recording with continuous focus and most importantly, a very affordable price tag considering the feature set. That said, the satio is surely the better looking handset and if I dont manage to save enough to get the x10 and satio gets that much needed firmware update adding kinetic scrolling etc, i'll still go for the satio, mainly for the larger screen, classy looks and hmm......xenon flash on a cell is cool!

The future of SE sadly lies on this and the X10. I want to be wrong, but with recently announced losses, I dunno if my beloved company will make it in today's tough mobile landscape.

If we will see Vivaz on March it will be the most powerful phone of the market.
The OMAP3630 Cortex A8 720Mhz + 430MhzDSP + PowerVR SGX530 is the most powerful bundle ever seen on a mobile phone right now, much more than the usual Snapdragon 1ghz.

I totally agree with you, but i dont think sonyericsson realize that... or else they will be doing things better with these 2phones...
... X10 with no equalizer and android 1.6 when by the time it will be on the market there will be phones with android 2.1 already
... and Vivaz (Why they dont came with a better name??) its what satio should have been but.... still no equalizer??? and why they put the 3,5mm jack on the side and the camara in the middle of the phone?!? Isnt obvious already for them were these things should be placed?? 
Now with nokia giving Gps navigation for free, apple with a new and supposed better iphone and so on, how can SE compete with them if they are always late and with some sort of downgrade or stupid missing things in their phones?
If SE have ppl reading foruns like this and pay attention to guys like us, i think they will sell 2or3 times more!  |

But back on topic this phone sucess depends only on the price and how soon it arrive on the market.
For exemple if nokia will be abble to pull out first for the same or lower price a 8mp hd recording phone with Symbian^3 and Free GPS navigation... Vivaz will be doomed. SE for your sake wake up!

so tv-out will be from the 3.5mm jack right(since it has no fast port that we can see)? doz that mean otha tv-out cables will work on it? |

I refuse to buy a phone that does not have xenon flash never mind anything else..........base line for me, satio has spoiled me, otherwise you need to carry a camera and a phone which defeats the purpose of having a device that does all |

If it does have an indented lens (with no cover) it'll be just like ..... your navel,belly button or what ever you want to call it. Ultimately it'll end up as a collector for stuff going on in your pocket or bag, after a few weeks / months it'll have a nice blurry ring of stuff around it, the nice HD images might slowly start to deteriorate in quality with a fuzzy haze.

HD video recording sounds very nice to me. But how many fps I wonder. And we know from experience, that if they say 30 fps, then it's more like 20-25 fps in reality.
I'd rather have another Aino with better keys though. (bigger and more apart, like W800). |

God damn SE is stupid. They should practically give the vivaz away (make it really cheap) to restore their credibility. They cant expect people to pay premium prices for their phones right now, SE needs to wake up. Vivaz has the pontential to be a real cashcow for them |
