By the way, is it possible to stream while the BT is put on charge (for instance while you streaming to a stereo) ?
No.
Once it detects external power, it shuts off forcefully.

not very long for a stop-watch
Aino/MH100 does the same, even after 6months.

Wonder why they change that behaviour from HBH-200/205/220 ? Not a big issue, but nevertheless, pitty.

I am running a stream test as we speak. The stopwatch now shows 7 and a half hour and the battery indicator on the MW600 is 1/2 full. I am playing a mp3 file on loop and the headset volume is set to 50%

@HxH
Have you read my review? I wrote that we did a blind test, and it was not possible to hear the difference between the MW600 and the phone microphone if they both were located right in front of the mouth.

Dude many thanks for this review! I think will sell a LOT of these if they're readily available.

I have been following this headset for sometime now. And i also wanted to have this headset. But after a long thought and comparision with my ds980, i would stick with my ds980.
Why??
There are many reasons, like,
1. I wear the headset from morning to evening. Due to the nature of my business, i have to drive my bike around. This headset is cliped on shirt's collor. It is too dusty here so this would damage easily. I always hide my ds980 under my shirt.
2. Its microphone is placed within the bluetooth unit. So, I think it would be difficult to talk while driving (windy condition) due to its position on shirt, bit away from mouth. Whereas, in ds980, its microphone is placed on the left earphone exactly near mouth. I am using it while driving without any problem. Sometimes i am so surprised that i would ask the person on other hand whether he can hear me or not? The answer would be loud and clear.
3. I dont know about mw600, but i can access my phonebook and dial through my ds980.
4. This is based on my personal belief. I think mobile phone and its signal are harmful to human brain. So i always wear headset and keep my phone in leather pouch on my waist belt. Bluetooth are no exception. I strongly oppose the in ear bluetooth device as it is near the brain. This mw600 though not near the head but ds980 is more away from brain then the mw600.
There are some positives of this headset against ds980. Like,
1. In built Radio.
2. 3.5 mm jack. Means we can change the headphones to any thing we like. In ds980, it is not possible to change the headphones.
Thank you.

Might be going off topic but like to say i agree with Ceaser. I've got MH100 that has mic in bluetooth unit too, i'm hard to hear if not placed near mouth.

I have my MW600 and i have testing it for 2 days with a SEW715 and a Nokia 5800, and i have do say that the sound quality on the DS980 is better then the MW600, the sound in MW600 is clearer but lack bass, the DS980 has more bass , i like more the sound qualty of the DS980. |

I dont know about mw600 but i can confirm that ds980 has more deep bass. I dont believe that sony would do such thing with their product. My advice to you is try to use different earbuds from small to big and see in which buds you have good bass effect.
Talking about my experience with earbuds, firstly, i was using big buds with some cheap, duplicate sony handsfree. I was thinking that big buds would isolate surrounding noises well and gave me what i want. Until when i bought my first genuine handsfree hpm-90, i have also used big buds and went on to complain about sound quality to sony centre. Guy over there adviced me to use medium buds and as soon as i did so, wow sound was amazing.
You can also try so. Different ears, different fitting.
