Really nice phone, I am really disappointed by the lack of an Equaliser though |

I may exaggerate abit now when calling this disappointment of the year.
X10 is the best specced Donut phone after all and I can only hope the display supports 16.7 but the OS limits it to just 256k. For a facebook junkie like a few of my friends are, this handset is most likely the dream phone. |

You may exaggerate???????
Thank you people such as some people in here, for overhyping this handset!
Sony Ericsson definitely have left the building long time ago and with this release they prove it.
I'm with a few people in here, this is definitely the disappointment of the year by a long shot.
The leaked brochure has absolutely nothing to do with it, because I knew it was fake from the very first second I saw that video but having official people stating Android 2.0 along with X10 and Sony Ericsson making a mini site to tease us, was hardly worth my anticipation and attention.
Somwhere in this mobile community world, they are celebrating this utter failure and for once it's justified.
Those pcitures Sealover has linked to shouldn't make anyone happier because even my Xperia X1 doesn't let the colourse fade away like that when tilting the device.
I may exaggerate abit now when calling this disappointment of the year.

@sealover
is there really that much of a difference between 16mil colours? No!
We all know are capable of making a good screen. and they do so frequently!

About wether this device have 16 million colours or 262k, is of very very little importance imo.
Look at the Hero, i haven't heard complaints about this LCD, and how many colours have this device?
Let's see if it gets an update to Eclair, it's shame if not, i agree, onboard memory with 1GB is also pretty lame.
And what kind of video resolution it has is an open question also...
And the screen is a smudge magnet, should've been like the 3GS..
And the price is pretty steep, other than that, this device is great imo.
i encourage you whiners to look for a better powered Android device guys, or a better looking one.
When was the last time SEMC announced something close to this device?
It's here in February, and this is the first in a range of android powered devices from SEMC, i find that hard to be anything other than good news imo, and surely, some will be eclair powered as well.

For the final specs, we better should wait for the white paper.
Guys the human eyes can't see more than a few hundred thousand colors. That 16M colors thing is MARKETING... |

Well yes...in a 4-inches screen YES...
Look how blue-ish it looks... and bad contrast too...
I hope it is just a proto and a bad photo... but Satio proto screen look so much better and vivid ! |

now this is more like it. possibly my next phone and 1st touch screen one. something still about SE design and combined with Android which is appealing compared to other offerings (for me anyway).
I wonder, will this come with thew newly announced MW600 BT headset that has a built-in radio? If so, that be sweet. Would be nice though if came with Android 2.0, was kinda hoping it would as the announcements seemed so "close".
EDIT: ok, guess not, lol, just saw the in-box contents on press release, just normal headphones.

You know my SE heart and now when everything has settled down abit I don't feel that disappointed when I first read Android 1.6. It's all about what you can do with your phone that matters in the long run and I have given my SEXperia X1 a new and healthy life thanks to all the ROMs out there.
After have seen those two videos by Sealover, I can't stop thinking of that nifty feature with photo tagging.
A feature I discovered in Windows 7 as well and I like it. |

@sealover: are you reading these posts or you just want to complain a bit? Here's the spec sheet from sony ericsson. It clearly says 262.144 (two hundred and sixty two thousands) colours.
@all: I really can't understand why the only thing you people can do is complaining. The phone we saw on all these videos is pre-production device. It will be faster for sure. 262.144 colours is really enough! I'm using X1 with only 64.000 colours and the only disadvantage is jerky gradient. X10 can display 4 times more colours - it's really enough. Another thing which I really can't understand are all these posts considering the the contrast. Have you guys ever tried to take a photo of any handset with DSLR, with the direct or a side light (or with the flashgun directed into the celing)? It will lose the contrast because this is how you make the glass reflect the light (the photo posted by sealover is a good example). Reading these posts is starting to make me really bored. Sorry for my english, but I just couldn't resist to say this...
And by the way... This is a photo of Satio... (screen is reflecting the light) ehhhh...

The camera is an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with an LED flash. It supports advanced face recognition with built-in tagging functionality of your friends. Smile shutter and geotagging is of course also available and so is high definition video recording.

Should i say i am happy ? Yesterday here in esato we were talking for 16000000 colours oled screen with multitouch capabilities... I AM DISSAPOINTED !
And these photos from Satio are much better ! It's not a reflection point! It's a low contrast blue-ish screen of X10.
And where are the speakers??
