Battery drain is a poor and old excuse which can be solved very easily
I think so - just take your charger and you have problem fixed.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

c901 looks very nice. if it has same solid casing and image sensor as c902 we have a clear winner.
its quite slim, and (it seems) it have a well made lens cover.
about gps or not im glad c901 dosent have gps. gps is just a toy, you play with it some times then you bored. Goggle maps works splendid if you want to find a location sometimes. gps also drain your battery way to fast.
abot wlan or not, im also glad c901 dosent have wlan, why ? because you must find unlocked connection all time, and where do you find that ? well, at your home (if you have a wireless router of course), otherwise its quite hard to find some free wifi).
im using my H (hspda) much more often, there i at least have fast internet connection 24/7 (well, at least in most big cities)

It's just a PHONE, What you expected from it.
What are you talking about? Then for what purpose was the 8gb Card included with my handset, if not for Media storage? 1000000 contacts? Why do 's then have dedicated Media shortcuts on the home screen that link to the vast Playstation style Multimedia screen? And why do they have an enormous line of Walkman branded handsets if Media is not a concern?

@bhavv- Umm.. the renoir is a flagship LG andcosts round 600 euros here. This phone is not gonna cross 300 euros. Think before saying.
In my country you can buy it for 360 Euro, where do you live?
I agree with Bhavv, last SE phones don’t worth the price.

I'm quite suprised to see people excited about this phone. I already own a K850i and this phone improves almost nothing over it, and unlike the K850i it has no front camera for video calling.
Had the video recording been VGA @ 30fps, then I could (not would, but could, since SE has been too late to implement VGA recording) change my mind. But since this is not the case, C901 is really a somewhat meaningless phone in my opinion. |

In this case is really a loser. C902 produces the same, or worse pictures than K850, which I would change with this phone. And K850, C902 have the one of the weakest cameras amongst 5Mp cameraphones. |

In the UK, LG Secret only costs £160 sim free (kicking myself for paying the same amount on a T700).
The LG Renoir costs £299 sim free. But most people nowadays are on a contract, which means you get the phones at a subsidised price or for free.
For my upgrade in March, I will the following handsets to choose from to upgrade my K850i:
Nokia: 5800 music, N96, N97 (no N85 on my network)
Samsung: pixon, omnia, acme, S8300.
LG: Secret, Renoir, KM900 arena
SE: No X1 Xperia no my network, but the other smartphones are better. C905 is just rubbish and too large compared to the Samsung and LG models, and why on earth would I *UPGRADE* a K850i to an identical model that is just slightly thinner?
If I want a cheap phone, even the LG Secret beats everything from SE below the C905.
@ the comment that a phone is just a phone, why are you interested in the C and walkman ranges from then? They have internet browsers, MP3 and Video players, camera and Video recorder, colour screen, games and applications. If you dont use any of that then why are you even interested in the C901?
I would believe your comments if you still used a 3310, and didnt have a walkman branded phone in your sig.
But at least arent as brainwashed or defensive as Iphone fans, and can hold a discussion without getting threatened and telling me to get out the thread. Your defense that you only want a low end phone would be ok if phones werent so overpriced. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but two years ago, people were fans of because they had highly specified phones with good features. Yet it is now 2009, and they still dont put Wifi, GPS, or larger screens onto their phones, yet they charge the same amount for a phone which lacks these features. Oh, and do even have VGA 30 FPS recording yet in their mid range phones? The LG Secret has, the next model from LG has 720x480 capture, as well as the pixon, and the upcoming Samsung phone has HD recording. The new phones from Samsung and LG are also only 11-12 mm thick including the slider S8300, wait a Minute, C901 is 13 mm and C903 is 16 mm??? Huh? SE cant even compete or innovate anymore when it comes to phone size? They used to bring us all the latest features in smaller handsets then Nokia before.

Here is the link of C901 product page from peru. I can't find it at any other countries. The C901 doesn't have Image stabiliser. Why???? ( It has video stabiliser, I can't understand why doesn't have image stabiliser too, C903 has it, has Gps too, it but it lacks the xenon flash. Sony Ericsson made us intended two phones with so many compromisses? Why didn't make us two almost identical phones with fromt camera, xenon flash, image stabiliser, any anybody can make a decision just considering the design. I wait the C901's photos quality, or announcements untill summer, but I want to change my K850 at summer, because I'm fed up with the pink colours intead of red in K850's photos. |

's new marketing strategy.
'Instead of placing all the latest features into one phone like all of our competition, we will seperate the features between the C901 and C903. This way, if the customer want all the latest features, they can buy two phones for it instead of one. Remember our new moto at , two phones are better then one. All our fans will now buy both the C901 and C903 because they will be unable to choose between the two models'.
This fan will move over to LG instead. |

That's why I said SE should slash its current design/production department and call for backup from the Japanese HQ. |

That strategy was originally Nokia's, but they can afford to do that because of their mass resources, a mature market of their own and some star products that can make up for the failures. Unlike SE, whose last star product was K800 from two years ago.
