Yep,..people are REALLY gonna look at you, hehe
Just had a meeting today,..tried out the full-functional production-model.
Nextlink were at Cebit, but they didnt have a stand/showcase.
Right now I'm working on a folder and a portfolio/presentation, that Nextlink will use, when they're going to the bluetooth-show in Japan in april
I'm also working on some "future products" right now, this could turn out to be very interesting. Its pretty much my own ideas and suggestions,..and Nextlink thought that we just might give them a chance
These things will probably be shown in Japan as well, only as drawings/sketches.
Going to Nextlink again this or next week, to coordinate some work, and I might shoot some production-pictures of Bluespoon as well, for the presentation/portfolio.
Production is moving along,..of course we still need the new modules.
The interest in Bluespoon havent dropped, rather the opposite,..quite a few large companies have contacted us,..and a lot of smaller companies/resellers and private persons.
This of course is extremely nice,..makes things a lot easier, and people are very positive, although we're being delayed.
I'll write as soon as more info is available.

hi Jan.
First of all. Thanks a lot for all your great info about Bluespoon. You are doing a great job.
Now to my questions; Have you ever seen any numbers about how big the BT market for mobilephones are? For exampel, how many phones are there to be sold this year?
And have Lars Stenfeldt any sellgoal, like how many % will Bluespoon take of the market?
How come, Nextlink did not appear at the Cebitshow in Hanover?
Hope to here from you soon.

Hi Invisio
Thanks
Well for now we know how many phones support bluetooth, either by being direct bluetooth phones or using adapters.
And of course we know some of the phones that are to be released in e.g. summer, autumn.
I havent seen any "numbers/figures" on exactly how many bluetooth-phones are being sold right now. Of course one could get "sold items lists" from e.g. mobilephone stores and so on.
Bluetooth is pretty hard to predict, but it will be seen more and more this year in all sorts of devices, not only mobile-phones.
The "business-phone-market" is basically the big bluetooth-market right now,..e.g. T68m/i, T39, R520, Nokia 6310. And P-800, Nokia 7650 and 8910. Also these are phones that the pioneers/first movers will buy, together with other bluetooth-enabled stuff, e.g. pda's, pc cards and so on.
Right now I'm also working on "future products", some of these will be shown in Japan in April.
Sellgoals : the bluetooth-market is hard to say something about, its very new, its growing quite fast it seems. We have a completely new product. Quite a lot of aspects in this. Of course you try to set some "goals", all companies do that, but its only "numbers" on a piece of paper
When Bluespoon actually hits the market, and has been on sale for a while,..we'll get a much better idea about this.
Its hard to say how many % of the market, that will be Bluespoon. A lot of people are very interested, both private persons and companies, and pre-orders are growing day by day
We believe it should sell on unique design, small size, innovative fitting, and very good sound-quality.
Its hard to say, how a brand-new product will sell. But we do believe that it will sell good,..or else there wouldnt be any point in making it
Basically, you can analyze, make goals and so on, but the thing that really counts are the consumers. Bluespoon have been "reviewed" in a lot of magazines/websites all over the world. Nextlink and I personally are getting a lot of very nice letters/emails, all very positive, from e.g. companies, future-resellers, and private persons.
That indicates, that we are doing the right thing, making a product, that people like and would actually use,...that of course, makes us extremely happy
We where at Cebit, but didnt have a stand/showcase down there. Basically running around and talking to some contacts Its also very time-consuming, so we were just there for a short while.
We didnt really want to show of a product, that wasnt finished yet.
And we were at the Comdex last year, and are going to a big bluetooth show in Japan in April.
Hope this answers Your questions.

(sorry about the one above)
Okey, thanks for your answer Jan.
It made me glad to here (in an erlier answer) that BS wont be more expensive than the other headsets. From my point of view, there is no longer anything that is better with the other headsets compared with BS.
I guess you still dont have any releasedate to announce?

Andreas > No I dont have a specific release-date,..only that it will be in may/june,..because of the delay with the bluetooth-modules.
Correct, Bluespoon wont be as expensive, as it was said in earlier articles/websites.
We have been testing the sound-quality/how good you hear another person using Bluespoon. Of course, we also compare Bluespoon against the other bluetooth headsets.
This turned out very well

Jan,
Thank you very much for keeping us up to date. The information you provide is most welcome, and I am very impressed with your product, particularly the "bluetooth logo" styling of the black buttons.
I have one question for you:
How will we handle all the people who are going to come up to us and say things like "Are you picking anything up on the subspace communicator, Uhuru" or "Open Hailing frequencies Mr. Data"?
I can't wait for the product release!

Red Halibut > Thanks,..and Your welcome !
HEHE,..BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY
People will probably think your just talking to yourself, because the Bluespoon is so small, hehe.
I like to keep people informed about whats going on. Or else one might get all these rumours flying around. We have seen all to often, what rumours can do I dont want that to happen.
So I will much rather give people the correct informations all the way.
Its so much easier and more fair

arroyootje > Hehe,..guess that would be "cool", but I dont think I can do this, its not really up to me alone.
What I will do, is tell you, exactly when it will be out, immediatly after I'm told the date

I brought my HBH-10 six months ago and I'm quite happy with it especially when it comes to servicing and software upgrade.
Jan, if you don't mind may I ask what kinda servicing availability for Bluespoon handfree? I may want to buy one for my wife coz she thinks HBH-10 looks ugly
