its the first SE UIQ phone that can compete on the same segment of the the cheaper nokia s60 phones...it has a normal phone keypad and dpad and normal look, and also should be priced lower than older SE smartphones

and it betters nokia's mainstream S60 in the sense that it offers two kinds of input( TS and Keypad) unlike S60s which utilizes Keypads only

i am pretty sure this phone uses TI processor

The G700 looks a lot worse than the G900, I really don't like the buttons and that relief on the back. G900 looks cool.

G900 lacks gps, but i think most can live with that since SE's got a nice gps acc.
But the thing that many will miss most is the lack of a led light to using while capturing video's at night, or finding your way back home after a long night out.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

oh man this was SOOO CLOSE! So close to what I personally wanted. I just wanted Quadband EDGE & WiFi along with GPS. I didn't really want UMTS but its a necessity nowadays.

SE so close. Maybe on the upgrade I'll by the G-series.

now I must update my sig. I think these will do quite well.

Although I wonder how much money SE is wasting on 2 product lines switching the 3.2MP cam & GPS for the 5MP cam & WiFi.

Can't help but be extremely disppointed with G900. This is especially so because I think it's perfect but without HSDPA, it just doesn't make the cut. How f(*;ing hard would it f(/$ing be to implement HSDPA and why the f(*-k doesn't SE think it's mandatory for smartphones, those f*)s! It's perfect otherwise, a simple excellently finished looking candybar on the exterior with limitless capabilities within. It's what I've always loved in the flipped P-series where they would look ordinary in contrast to what they're capable of, I'm even more impressed with it that X1 because it screams innovation, the very thing I've been waiting from SE. It's just the HSDPA you f*"#s. You've lost one f$'*ing customer. Please excuse my language, I'm just very, very, very disappointed

hsdpa would have been really useful, especially in this fone. hsupa is on its way to enter the market, so hsdpa is now days a standard imo

not really boba, hspda isnt really mainstream, its only slowly starting to appear in mid end devices.

hsupa has only been shown in the x1 so far afaik? and the rumoured n96 is meant to have it.

id say by the end of year, early next year, 3g will almost be completely gone, with hsdpa taking over, and hsupa in high end devices only!

I'm glad you share my sentiment bobba, it should be a standard for high end data centric phones by now. Or perhaps UIQ doesn't support it? This is the pattern that I see, there has to be a reason why no UIQ phones have it thus far

well, i do love hsdpa and imo its really not a big deal to put it in a device that feature. ok, maybe its not a must, but this is the right way, to get the best out from sg and use it, otherwise, why to offer it then?

Technology is ever expanding, we have HSDPA technology in our midst supplied by network providers but what good is that if it is not being utilized, low demand means low feasibility, low feasibility means lower/slower investment in new technologies, and that is unacceptable. Who in their right minds would wanna use 3G if we can have 3.5G which is 10 folds faster? This is especially valid in my case where my mobile device is the primary and sole source of internet at home or anywhere for that matter. HSUPA has already entered the market with the announcement of X1 and no SE UIQ data centric phones have HSDPA to date. Unbelievable.
