Light when you need it
Throw a little light on the subject with xenon flash. It emits a burst of high-intensity light at just the right moment, allowing you to shoot well-lit pictures indoors or in low-light conditions.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]pecifications/c902?cc=gb&lc=en i read: photo flash, photo light, video light-so who knows...
In the k850 the video light was a pair of leds that lit up during video recording. This photo light may be the use of these leds while using best pic.
^but it seems pretty unlikely for a xenon flash+2leds to fit inside this^

Small screens, eh? Thanks but no thanks. I guess I'll just go for a Z750.

Wow, the higher end C902 seems to have a very, very tiny aperture. As small as that in the K770i, if not even smaller! If so, its going to really suck at taking low light pictures without having motion blur.
The 3mp C702 seems to be thicker, have a larger lens, and has dual led flash. Almost as if its better at taking pictures than the C902! I also think the 702 looks a lot better. The back panel reminds me of the K810i. |

I seriously doubt that it will have a CCD sensor. They are bulkier, use more power and more expensive. Nowadays CMOS sensors are as good as CCD sensors.
When did you get that impression mate CMOS sensor are no way better nor par at CCD sensors, you know the reason why DSLR cameras use CMOS sensors is because it's less power intensive than CCDs, yes you're right CCD consumes more power than CMOS, DLSRs cannot fit a better battery module to copensate for the intense power usage by the large CCD. and the mere fact that given the space for the sensor DSLRs can fit large sized APS-C CMOS sensors to ensure quality. large CMOS are capable of producing excellent images but any CMOS smaller than 1/2.5" and has a resolution of 5mpix are no match to a CCD even with a smaller 1/3.0"

good to see 'more' more digi cam features coming through. ie, face detection!

those are just gimmicks, what is important is for SE to use CCD otherwise it'll be a major disaster!

yeah sometimes, but i only think of the fact that if SE used a crappy CMOS sensor here then this shouldn't be a cybershot first and foremost. since Cybershots are imaging gadgets and imaging relates to quality pictures and quality pictures are only possible with the use of a proper sensor

It is small gimmicks like that that will get more business to Sony Ericsson. Honestly, the average phone buyer (especially American and Canadian ones) only purchase products because of good-marketing (iPhone) and small nifty features that seem like it's huge mobile development. Sony Ericsson can use it to their advantage now. |
