what is the loudest phone ? |

I'm sorry, but I'm not following: what's the purpose of having the phone with the loudest speakers? To molest the innocent citizens in the street, at the public transportation, etc..? Don't you think the headset is more suitable for listening to the music than phone's speaker? Why not using the vibration instead of the speaker phone?
Anyway, I'm in a quest not for the loudest speakers, but the loudest earpiece at the (European) market, because the phone is principally made for talking, agree? Since I'm currently using my good, old 3110 classic, which I find extremely crisp, clear & loud (with reference to the earpiece volume), I want to swap it for a phone with 240 x 320 resolution display (SE or Nokia firstly), but I'm pretty afraid not to buy some bad performer, since I've read some new gadgets are pretty poor regarding earpiece volume. Any suggestions?
Thanks. |

^^it's even more irritating when you can hear music playing through a person's headsets, put on full blast, next to you...

It's better to have a phone that produce a clear & crisp sound with average loudness then a loud phone that produce a bad quality sound.

i think its the W550.
especially when modified (acoustic)
havnt try modifying my one thou, but i can see the difference that is while playing midi tone, no phone can come closer in volume... in mp3, se default acoustic prevent further gain by adding AutoGainControl, just like other SE handsets...
but now, i think R306 can be louder than W550... |

Well actually people may search for the loudest phone so that they can easily hear it when in a noisy environment, so that they don't miss a call. Also, they may like having their phone up loud to listen to music in private. Not everyone is as immature as the person next to you on the bus or on the street.

seems a lot of the lower end phones have better speakers then many of the higher end products ................ which is weird, since they use cheaper parts in the lower end phones (obviously)

Of course, we all know that's far, far away from the truth. The vibration is actually invented for the noisy environment, not the phone speaker to compete the noise. After all, there is a Caller ID function that let us know the identity of the caller, so we can easily call/text him/her back. And according to my experience, younger people doesn't search for the loud phone to listen to the music in private (that's what headset is for), but just to brag & irritate people around. But that's just my experience.
Could someone post his/her impressions/experience Re: recent phones with the loudest earpiece volume, or just send me the link for the relevant topic, pls?
Thanks. |

And of course, everyone is exactly the same. No, some people prefer not to use vibrate, and rather a ringtone. You don't even know the purpose that the original poster had in mind, so please don't generalise.

well i use my very loud w900i speaker to listen to music whilst taking a bath as using a headset whilst taking a bath might not be such a good idea...

If I mentioned in previous post that something is just mine experience, I don't see how I'm generalizing..

Ever tried with FM radio? It can produce more powerful sound, plus you don't have to bother with harmful bathroom moisture..
Anyway, thanks for helpful suggestions, as of now I'm thinking of 6500 classic, k530i and w610i (regardless the display is not 240 x 320). A hard fight, let us see who will be the winner..

Yes i agree as im very fussy about having decent call quality in a mobile since thats what its actually for. My 6300 is very loud and clear for the ear piece during calls but its better leaving the call clarity off as it distorts otherwise its loud enough with it off.

On the other hand, I've got completely different story to tell. My previous 6300 had many unpleasant issues - battery time was pathetic (less than one day not so heavy usage), I couldn't make a call longer than 5 minutes cause it's get hot like oven, and I couldn't actually hear the opposite side, given the fact that earpiece volume was not nowhere near to sufficient on it's highest level, with or without call clarity on. Maybe it's because mine was "made in Hungary", maybe not, beats me. At the end, maybe there's no two same models with the same characteristics, so the conclusion might be - (we should) try before (we) buy. |

Yes totally agree, call quality can vary enormously even between the same model, I've had numerous examples of both Nokia 6300's and SE W880i's and call quality from the same area ranged from barely acceptable to outstandingly clear, but I suppose it depends on many variables. |
