first pic:
wrong settings for K850 flash.
try it with iso 100 or twillight portrait mode turned on. and SEE the results.
And then compare them with N82.
i used K850 for 2 weeks and i know what the flash is capable of.
second pic:

you guys are die hearted SE fans cause you obviously dont get the point that with default settings on both the n82 is superior. Consider the fact that the iso on the n82 can also be adjusted. No need to even compare these 2. One is symbian smartphone with better camera and a load of other features whilst the other is just a good camera phone. And lets not even start on the video quality of both.

I'm also dealing with the same problem. The N82 looks like a great phone with a lot of features (wifi, gps etc), but I doubt I will ever use them. The design is ok, but the D-pad and keypad looks very akward, does it feel akward? Honest opinions about those please.
I really liked the keypad, touch-sensitve buttons and D-pad on the K850i. This phone has, however, no wifi, gps etc etc. I'm mostly texting and calling and listening to music, but I'm missing the wifi feature here!!
I'm pleased to see that the N82 has a 3.5mm headphone jack and the k850i doesn't (yes I want to use my own headphones without having 10mtr of cable (extra connector etc)), another + for the N82 imo.
I'm not really looking for the camera cause I know what the n82 and k850i are capable of.
Could somebody make up my mind? The k850i still has some firmware issue's but is cheaper, I can't seem to figure out which phone I should take. |

Awww shame, the SE Fanboys can't handle the fact that the NOKIA N82 camera is clearly better and this is with the 1st FW!!
1st W910 is beaten by N81 and now K850 is beaten by N82.
'THE NEXT EPISODE' is realy looking great

well !!
never using some features is not a good reason not to buy a device. (of course if the price difference is not huge)
as for these two hansets; K850 will fill most of your needs during a day with a nice and fresh UI.
N82 is packed with every features availble and will do everything you want from it.
camera: the quality of the both cameras is quite near - both have flaws and strong points - (in fact they have the best camera capabilities out there)
video recording is a plus for N82
camera UI and it's ease of use is a plus for K850
but it is up to your needs if you think that wifi and gps does not worth the extra paying then The K850 is there for you.
but if the price of the N82 is less than 1.3 times greater then having wifi and gps won't hurt.
just to mention:: K850 looks better in hand and feels more classy. |

N82 is not MUCH better...thats for sure...YES, it have (like N95) more color/contrast saturation in daylight pictures....
but i think k850 doing a realy good job now, flash works realy good, indoor works good (amazing indoor pics) and now after some learning, outdoor pics (special if you use Documnet + daylight)...
the last outdoor pics i took yesterday, there is N82 actaully behind in quality...
so yes..if you looking for gps/wlan...buy N82
otherwise buy k850..much more beatiful, smaller............

So many deluded SE fans here. K850 colours are well washed out and havent been improved at all in any of the firmware updates. N82 gives more vibrant colours not to mention it has a better camera lense cover mechanism and also a xenon flash. GPS, 30fps VGA, bigger screen, 3.5mm jack. And to be honest there are too many bugs with the K850, build feels like crap too.
To be honest K850 is a nice cam phone but N82 does so much more and has come out top on majority of cam phone reviews. Dont let peoples fanboyistic views skew your impressions of any phone. Always look on various forums before making your choice. Esato is a mostly a SE forum, you may want to try something more balanced like MR and your view might then change.
But anyway look at phone reviews between these 2 phones on GSM Arena and MR. N82 wins hands down.

Can we please stop the arguments....
This is getting crazy here...
These are peopls opinions and personal views... I have had the K850i for 3 months and thought I would have it for longer... but overal was not happy with it. So i purchased the N82 and have to admit am much happier with it... though I do miss some features of the UI and I admit K850i does look nice the problem with build quality is not good at all.
Cheers
ENJOY

ROFL @ Plankgatan!!!
He reminds me of this guy:
"THERE ARE NO BUGS IN THE K850 AND IT TAKES BETTER PICTURES THAN THE N82 AND N95. ALL THE REVIEWS ARE A LIE. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!"
