I love the flip. This is gonna be a hit. the specs aren't amazing but the design is a winner.

the phone is a waste of money because it has a good design but poor specification cant you see Sony Ericsson is brain washing you to buy this product if you were smart you would go for a better specfication phone with a good design for eg w800i not a piece of plastic .
Say no for poor specification Sony Ericsson is once again lieing to its customer and laughting to make its customer pay for a piece of nothing.
wake up people its 2008 the year of 3.2 and 5 mega pixel standerd and a 240*320 -16 million standerd not a 1.3 mega pixel with n AF or flash led and a poor screen of 176x220 pixel .SE is giving a poor specification .

I would go for the design rather than the specs and this would suit perfectly, many customers go for the looks of the phone and this will appeal to them without doubt.
For those who want higher spec mobiles will know what they want.
Can't wait to have this beauty

That's why it's called a low-end phone! Really, think a bit before posting a possibly stupid comment, will you? SE is actuallly implementing a great strategy there! Why shouldn't low-end phones get good designs, too?

If it's less than £80, I'm in there!
I sincerely take my hat off to SE, another new and bright design in an already dull market. Wait for the Samsung, LG and Nokia clones now...

You and I can afford a hi spec phone(with a hi price as well) but my 14 year old brother can't so he'd love to have this one. He doesn't need a 5MP or 3.2MP samartphone i guess. This phone is covering all his needs, what he would do with WiFi or a phone having millions of resolution. Its a marketing strategy by SE and being a giant in mobile industry they have to cover the needs of every customer.
Liked the desing of the phone any way. |

I'd love one too, the only deterrent could be that the specs and software are not that different from the once flagship W850 save worse camera and smaller memory card. So this "low-end phone" could become a summer version of its way chubbier cousin to fit the tight jeans.
Provided that the price and performance sound quality-wise are decent, of course.
BTW, is this the first non-smartphone flip?
Sony and Ericsson both had those, so hopefully there shouldn't be any mechanical issues on that front.

Disappointed bcos of its 128 x 160 pixel screen..atleast a 176 x 220 would have been nice

am sorry but the design makes me feel sick
the specs are even worse
ands wots with the crappay bundled ear phones these days all walkmans use to be in ear.
never touch a low end phone with a barge pole
