Some changes i noticed with new firmware:
1. symbols in calculator(plus, minus, etc.) have borders already so it can be easily read. even when using dark themes it turns to white.
2. When using dark themes- Hand writing recognition have white borders when you scribble with your stylus.
Please confirm... |

Yes... I can confirm the white border.
Another new feature I noticed...
While you're in a phone conversation, you cannot accidentally activate... something else... it will ask you if you really want it...
I like this... I was always scanning for wireless networks... |

update- transitions turn themselves off now regardless of whether they are on or off now so presume that's a new bug
transitions and menu speeds are much faster. smooth scrool down applications list has now gone. it never worked properly anyway.
and thank the lord now it does actually choose wifi and connect if it's your priority connection, now without having to turn the current gprs connection off first.

have u guys seen any difference in the way messages are read on the text and emails. like u always had to go back to read teh next message. i wished they made teh next button like how it is in the rss feeds. so much faster to get to the next and previous messages. kinda weird that the rss feeds has it and the others dont. |

@cmorebutt6969: your green wall? it's multicolor now. this problem will only be solved if the camera is changed.

@sdsviet, unfortunately on these phones you lose all data and settings when updating firmware

Just updated mine. Noticed all mentioned in this thread plus the change in the zoom and brightness keys in camera mode have swapped.
Pics seem to have improved also. The one below of my Vaio was taken a few minutes ago on auto, macro, night mode, flash on and fine picture setting.
Oh. My P1i is a sim free WG1 version.

hi
on update service it says
do not disconnect the phone until the update is complete.
it is at 100% but it is not letting me know the update is complete. is it ok to disconnect my phone now?

I've read through the thread now and it's one person with BlackBerry working and one without. Has anyone else tried using BB Connect and gotten it working?
Thinking of replacing my g/f's K800i and M600i combo with a P1i, but she'd need the BB working for it to really happen.

hi
ok, i just unplugged it anyway and it was fine, but, i still have the o2 startup screen and stuff on it.
i used xs++ 2.2 and run the script for wg1. then i ran update service and it told me my phone was already up to date cda162024/9 r12a
so i selected continue anyway and when it was finished i unplugged it.
upon checking the phone it is still branded with the o2 stuff.
any ideas?

Try it again cos it seems that xs++ 2.2 didn't sort your phone out prior to updating.
The new update is not available for O2 branded phones yet. It took a while for the last one to come out for O2 branded handsets which is why I debranded mine through Davinci and put WG1 on it (xs++ couldn't do smartphones at the time)
