Same thing is happening to me... I assume that the evaluation period has now expired and that's what's causing LinkBoy to crash.

I was planning on buying LinkBoy once it expired (I was actually hoping for a new release to fix the transparency problem before I actually paid for it), but now I'm hesitant to do so as how in the world am I going to register the program when all it does it crash??? There's no way to enter in the registration information. D'oh!

The above problem is being investigated. It seems we need to accelerate with releasing 1.10 with fixes and FC support.

@ Lisa

The same thing happened to me and I did an unistall and then reinstalled but still it didn't work. I assumed that the evaluation period was over..... so just to check if it would work I changed the date on my mobile to one week before and then restared my pnone ( P990i by the way).....to my suprise it worked !!!!!

So since I have never had any problem so far with the app. and since I couldn't keep changin the date forever and assuming the evaluation was over I bought the software and its now working OK.

I just hope it is not some sort of virus or something that hits all mobiles on a fixed date.....

No, not at all. Instead it is just a stupid bug in LinkBoy that manifests itself when a trial copy expires. Correction will be published tomorrow at latest.

Excellent news Lisa as since the night before last mine has been doing the same... The phone rebooted itself and any attempt to open LinkBoy results in the above...

Seems strange using it without now...

Version 1.02 for LinkBoy has been released. This minor upgrade fixes the crash that occurred when a trial copy expired. Please note that 1.02 does not extend the trial period provided with the previous version. The upcoming 1.10 version will give another two weeks of free trial.

@Lisa

Thnx for a great apps.

I'd love to be able to make a folder that I've created my self as a shortcut on the standby screen.

I also would like to have my agenda on the standby screen. Right now i use GDesk because GDesk is more dynamic and gives you plenty of settings to customise the design almost as you want. I can add more shortcuts in different sites with key shortcuts and I can use the jog wheel to jump between the shortcuts. I also can have my agenda on the mainscreen by default.

Have you tried GDesk your self?

Sure, all serious SE smartphone user knows Gary's wonderful program. LinkBoy uses an approach different from GDesk, for achieving a similar purpose. GDesk replaces the standby screen, while LinkBoy supplements it. It is a matter of taste which one you prefer, and both programs are still changed and improved.

Wrong, the nickname 'Zed' does not point to narcotics. (Really off-topic.)

I have a P990 and when I get a sms and click on the envelope icon at the status bar the Shortcuts from the desk is frozen on the display all the way when i click my way into the sms. When I click the "back button" it goes back to normal.
