i would get a skin but those skins arent that great. they're too grippy and i cant pull them out of my pants pocket. if they were made by the same stuff as the blackberry pearl skin made by blackberry where the skin is thin and good smooth material, then i would buy it. |

I am also very satisfied with my PDair-Leathercase. There is also a german manufacturer producing high quality bi-colored cases for the P1i called Eixo. The cost around 30-40 Euros.
http://www.eichert.biz/eixo/ef219.htm (only in german)
Best regards

Hey rookwise, have you got your PDAir case yet? They look pretty cool on the website, but interested in what they would be like to use and how much more bulky they make the phone??
Yes mate it did arrive and I did a review of the case
It was mentioned on page 2 of this thread.
Although I'm now using the PDAir Aluminium case in silver for the P1i

Have you reviewed that case anywhere? How does it compare to the leather case? Is the aluminium case comfortable in a pocket?
Thanks

Hi. No review as I no longer have the phone. The aluminium case is very good. Certainly protects the phone very well. Does add a little to the phone in terms of size but I wouldnt say it adds much weight.
Dont put the belt clip on and it will be ok in your pocket and I'd still use a screen protector as well (just a preferance)
If anyones interested. I have a PDair leather flip style case and also the PDair carmount for sale in the Accessories for sale section on Esato

I find that the original pouch is the best for me, I can play gameboy, just whip out the phone, also casings are heavy and bulky and I can't play gamboy no more, tired hands. The original pouch is really high quality and dust resistance.

PDAir Aluminium Case Review
I recently bought a PDAir Aluminium Case for a P1i I was given. And after 2 days of use can give a reasonable idea of this cases funcion.
On first unboxing, i was impressed, very nice packaging, the way the case slips on the phone and holds it snugly in its aluminium shell. As a shell to the phone which you slip in a pocket its ok i guess, but here is where it all goes wrong.
Its a pain to have to undo the front to access the screen, also i found this can open by itself if knocked, leaving the front of the phone exposed until you notice.
Had some bad experiences using this case and its belt clip. The clip might grip a belt ok, but i found it came off sometimes, and the fixture between case and clip can come away from the clip, causing the phone and case to drop to the floor!
This happened twice, and both times luckily all was well, but on the third time this happened, the case got very mangled falling onto an elavator, and the phone received quite bad marks on the aluminium on the phone. I had to abandon using the case as it no longer fitted the phone properly.
The case is a waste of money, you are better off buying some sort of protective pouch with some sort of padding to protect the phone!
I would strongly advise anyone to stay well clear of the PDAir aluminium cases if they wish to carry their phone safely. |
