This is your CDA version, not the CDA itself..

CDA has the following format: CDA162007/x (or CDA162008/x)

You will find it in the same place, right before your cda version.

what would be the means of a silent alarm for your calendar? Just vibrate? right? So I tested it and it does vibrate on mine. why is this a bug?

Every time I leave my phone on 'non-silent' at work, I get an audiable alarm for my 15 minute alarm. Maybe this is a side effect of synchronising with outlook (2003?) - I've not tried too hard to verify the exact behaviour.
These alarms always vibrate (and don't stop till the battery is flat, which is also a bug imo)

biggest problem is that they lowered maximum volume on alarms - that sucks!!

has anyone found any workaround or solution to this very serious fault yet?

I found another bug "I think it is a bug because I did not have this problem before: :؟؟؟:

we have to use codes like *122# or *123# to check the call credit.

those codes work when I type them and press send, but they do not work if I try to do the same thing from the phone book.

A huge bug: no more autofocus trick in video mode. In photo mode still a bad lazy one.
As long as they offered autofocus as a brand of their latest models I don't understand why they ruined it. I hoped that I'd see an option like full automatic focus or something like when you shoot video to do the focus thing all the the time movie clip is recording and have a sharp movie.
In picture mode if you uncheck focus then you'll have a blurry picture too, so autofocus is just a bad joke.

The second one is after I play a video file, the backlight doesn't automatically turn off, something keeps prompting the backlight to keep lighting up, try using the keylock and you'll know what I mean. I can't keep the media player running in the back ground if I want the backlight to turn off, so i'd kill it in task manager, and sometimes after killing it, the backlight still doesn't turn off, then I'd have to open media player(without having to play the video again) and kill it again. This would fix the backlight bug

The million dollar question is: Has anyone else experienced this?

Yup I've experienced this backlight problem.. I think it really is a bug....

I didn't notice this and it drained my battery...

Nasty Bug!!!

The CDA is R3A01 - so it's quite old, but this is the version that was yesterday installed from the SEUS. How can I get the newest version - any help is _very_ appreciated ....

Just a note: While checking the CDA, my phone crashed again ..... I really need a new firmware (or a new phone ;-( - which would be bad since mine is just two days old .....

You need to debrand your phone and change it to a world generic one.

I've found a way of doing it for free!!!

Another interesting bug that has existed since before any fw update I've had til now is this: I usually capture still photos and video and save them in the phone memory and would usually manage and transfer these images and vids to my msdp using the 'export camera files' option under the 'manage' menu in picture gallery to avoid filename duplicate between them and the files which are already in the msdp (as opposed to transferring with file manager which might cause duplicate prompts to appear where you'd have to manually rename these files which is a lot of hassle). I usually start exporting after the phone memory space gets low and there is a big load of photos/vids captured. Therefore it would be easier to 'mark' the files and export everything in one go, but this is not possible in FC mode where you'd have to transfer 1 file at a time which I think is silly of SE, more so since there is actually a way around it that enables one to mark more than 1 file to export in FC. Try this:
1. go to picture gallery in FC
2. go into 'phone' camera folder (note: if you select 'more', the 'mark' option won't show in the menu at this point)
3. hit the back button, select MS tab
4. go into any folder (except for the 'MS' camera folder) in your MS
5. hit back button again and select phone memory tab
6. enter 'phone' camera folder again, select 'more' again and voila, the 'mark' files option now appears and if you start selecting, checkboxes would start appearing beside the photo thumbnails proving that this option is technically compatible with FC, but is hidden for some stupid reason.
Note that in any fw before R5, there would also be 'mark all' option through this method which I miss very much. With 'mark all' I did not have to select all the files one by one, but having the 'mark' files option is better than non at all and having to export one by one.

I hope with the next fw upgrade SE will rid us of this unnecessary bug and just give us both 'mark' and 'mark all' options without going through such tideous process in FC since it is very much possible as I have proven

asida, concerning that LED problem, after checking a missed call / reading a message:

It happens to me too once in a while. You don't have to restart the phone:

simply got to: service menu -> service tests -> LEDs and exit

it will be fixed

How excatly did you do it for free? I've read a few articles about people changing to /8 for free by replacing a few files, but haven't seen anything about changing to /1 and /2!
