I'm having the same problems on my k750i as it is mentioned here several times. But even if it worked correctly, I think that on this web site, it is more convinient (no read/write permissions). And really 5-8 seconds is really enough, this means, that it does not use too much traffic.

wen i try shyam's link on my p990 web browser.....it just says track id is currently unavailable.....how come it works on yours???
has anyone with a p990 got this java track id to work???? if yes...how??

two times I got "Communication Failure", but I think it was my operators failure.
But I tried it yesterday, and it worked, and was able to recognize songs that I've recorded from TV, or my brother's phone. And I've just tried with recorded amr, without music (have nothing to record), and it responded that couldn't find match for my sample, so it works currently  ).

You could try that page from your PC's web browser (it works too) and compare with the behaviour of your phone.

Guyz, i still can't find any way to let this work......couldn't connect everytime...
BTW, about this link - http://msrprod.extranet.sonyericsson.com/mrec/ , is there any way to upload recording to this site using GPRS connection from our phone?? I tried OperaMini v2.00 but there's no" browse" button for me to look up the file using my w810i......if use PC to access the site, there's a browse button for it....plz guide me

I havent tested with other phones'.
If there is such a problem,we might need a small script.Whenever i get time,ill try to fix it.

I just wana know y it wont work on my p990?? wen i try it with track id the software i get a proxy error and wen i try accessing the direct link thru my web browser it says track id is currently not available.........

Have you tried it from a PC to compare with phone??
Or do you have several web browsers on your p990? maybe you could have Opera, and a simple xHTML browser (sorry I'm not aware if there is one). Do all your browsers report the same error?
Note that Opera Mini wont work, it doesn't support uploading afaik.

ive curently got Opera 8.65 for Symbian OS on my p990, its the one tat came with the phone, i have not installed any new additional web browsers
