WIfi? for me it's just a neglectable feature in phones, because of the following:

and hey if you fancy cheaper web browsing in a hotspot, then let me tell you, HDSPA and 3G service in some places mostly in asia and europe are now offered in flat rate. just like how we subscribe on a fixed broadband line service, it is better in case you wont have to search for hot spots as Wifi requires.
The main features iwanted to be enclosed in the sofia is symbian UIQ 3.1, walkman 2.0 grade player, HSDPA and the improved camera of course.

but unfortunately not all countries have HSDPA support yet.... so they have to do with wifi i guess......

UIQ 3.1 is a new UIQ version based on Symbian 9.2 (UIQ3 is based in symbian 9.1)...it can be used in BOTH touch screen phones and non touchscreen phones. It does not have great differences regarding the UIQ3 version used on SE phones because most new UIQ3.1 stuff was backported to SE´s UIQ3 |

We'll have to wait until se see it in real life. I won't judge it until I see it close up. The most worrying thing for me is the keypad/dpad combination. That might take some getting used to.

Yip esp with instant messaging and sms's the 2,4,6,8, 5 and d buttons could be frustrating.
Its like the d-buttons was an after taught.

This has been a rumour for sooo long its rediculous, check my message out on the SE portfilio thread. This thing is a lie! Masada is the only right person here 2009!! This is idiotic though, if SE's biggest rivel nokia release a 5mp, the natural thing to do is to retaliate and give there own 5mp phone, instead they wait 2 years! 2 years is like 20 years in the world of technology, by the time this "sofia" is released, nokia would have a 10mp phone out. SE really have to up there game!

btw: nobody else have 5MP mass-market cameraphone. So SE is not behind. It is just that Nokia is fast. |

mib - So LG KE920(5mp) wasn't available last year then(no mention of I-mobile 902(8mp) or Samsung B600(10mp), as they weren't technically world market devices)??
I wouldn't call Nokia fast(they only had N93 until January), I'd call  painfully slow.....
