here is a question for you blackberry users.
when I see blackberry users on my frequent flights, why is it that they use the BB for checking email etc and yet revert to a standard phone for making and receiving calls? almost always I see BB business men doing it this way

Masseur - You can use the BB with just data for unlimited browser, email and therefore not making calls and texts...
Also often the BB is given as an alternative to the Laptop...and therefore is barred from in/out going calls

fair enough, it just seemed strange given that BB devices are these days looking more like normal phones

The Pearl is nice but its not the 8700....aside of the camera...there isnt much bwetween them....maybe when the 8820 is out, then i might change my mind but QWERTY rules over Sure Type....

Yeah agreed there matey....Although using an unlocked 8700v on O2...just like the silver...
Also just for those interested Telstra's OS 4.1.351 has some good tweaks, like ability to "Turn Off BB Data" and just have the Phone and SMS as well as other little things...
Anyone want this to test, let me know

Just tried to use the media manager on my BB desktop manager and i find out it's only for BBs with ver 4.2 software...
The only downside to the 8700 is the lack of file transfer options!
I Fantasy Worlds and Disney Girls. Currently using: iPhone |
