Are people really finding it hard to get hold of? My friend got hers a week or so ago from O2 online. Seems pretty good from what i've seen. Only downside is there's no clock display once the screen's off. It's not even a "power save" type option as with other SE phones, you just can't have it without pressing the volume keys or unlocking.

Could any owners of this phone comment on the loudspeaker quality (not through the headset) in comparison to other walkman phones?

 I currently have a w800i which I think has great built-in speakers |

It's available here in the States from a few importers for ~$325. But I find this "upgrade" overall underwhelming, so I think I'll pass.

On the first post, it says Play Now 3.0. I was just curious to whats the difference between it and other Play Now versions. |

It's a little bit worse than the W880

It's a nice phone, the keys are different from W880i but i guess it just needs some getting used to, and you really notice the difference in weight and feel..

Worse than the w880? That must make the w610i the worst phone speakers of all the walkman range. The w880 speakers were that bad I had to send it back |

I thought the speakers on the W610 were very loud. They were considerably louder than my W700 or the W800/810. I don't know how it compares to the W550 though.

The sound was clear and extremely loud in a crowded, noisy room.

The 880 was a bit louder, although not by much. |

Has anyone tested the EDGE performance on this phone? I use my phone as a modem, so this is really important. |
