Over a day to go on the T630 auction, and I'm up to £21 already!
Which means I'm in profit by £2 or so, let's hope it continues to grow in value!

I reckon you should get at least £30 for it.
Have you got your eye on any other faulty handsets?

Not yet though had a few people PM me with offers of phones, might follow some of them up depending on what I get for the T630 and what kind of price they'd be after.
Will start looking on Ebay once I've got a final selling price and payment recieved.
One thing I haven't (and probably won't) take into account with this experiement will be Ebay and Paypal fees, which depending on how many sales I need to get to my target will cost me a few quid too. I might try totting them up at the end too and add that to my initial outlay.
The other option is to sell phones here on Esato. There'd be no fee then, and if people pay via bank transfer then there would be no Paypal fees either, although phones go for quite a bit less on here than on Ebay. Might try that perhaps with more expensive phones, although the problem is people would probably know how much that phone cost me!

Been having a look on Ebay, found a few likely candidates for my next phone, mainly things like V3s or 6230is with slight faults, would be an ideal next step for me.
Though of course it also depends on what the T630 goes for, I seem to be stuck at £21 at the moment!

There are still 4 hours to go so don't despair. The last hour is when the action starts. ;smile:

Wahey, the phone sold for £36! So have doubled my money, pending payment of course!
So I now have £36 to play with for my next phone, got my eye on a couple on Ebay, might see what people have here on Esato too

Not bad at all! I'm currently watching a silver Moto V3 that just needs a new battery (I have a spare one lying about here at home) but it's currently at £31 plus £3 postage. Is there enough profit in that do you think? It finishes in about 20 mins!
Unlocked but phone and battery only. Quickly - should I or not? Completed items seem to go from anything from £33 up to £50 or £60, just working out if it's worth risking or not.

£50 isn't bad. You'll be making a fair bit of profit. Final decision is yours obviously. Your money.

The V3 went over my budget, but am watching a few other phones, mainly Samsung D500s, a 6230 (if it goes for the right price), couple of 6280s!

Right, got my next phone for the experiment!
Got a D500 of Ebay, £35.55 with a screen fault - the description says 'often shows a fuzzy snowscreen but can work for days'. This sounds like the data ribbon, and will hopefully not need replacing - just taking out and giving the connectors a good clean. I've fixed many a Samsung Slider screen fault this way, so fingers crossed!
The only thing is I forgot to take the postage into account, so the total I'm paying is £40.55, so I need to add £4.55 to my total expenditure. Another slight problem is the winning bidder of the T630 hasn't paid yet- I'm not worried, just I would prefer to have his payment before paying for the D500, will wait till tomorrow morning then send payment off regardless.
Looked on Ebay, and D500s are still going for £50-£60, so plenty of scope for profit there
