You know I was on some site reading reviews about the headphones you show pictured and nine out of the ten posts I read mentioned a flaw in the rubber coating that wears away with heat and sweat exposing the copper wiring. |

I had the HPM-70's but I didn't like their quality, now I use my Ipod's earphones and I'm quite happy with them. By the way when the envoriment around is too noisy, I have to turn up the volume to the MAX level to hear something

I had the HPM-70's too , but I was NOT happy with their performance at crowded places. Otherwise they sound great.
By the way AKG K181DJ , is really good headphones , if anybody is interested, I can totally recommend . It's good for the P990 and also good for listening to music from your Hifi or when DJ'ing

I thought that I would have to claim a refund for my HPM-70's a few days ago, since the volume level on the right earplug suddenly was only about the half of the level in the left plug, and thus resulting in a very unbalanced sound. Anyway, the reason was very simple; when I had a shower that morning, some water stayed in my ear, and the inside of the earplug became wet when I plugged it in into my ear. Water seems to have a damping effect on the membrane inside the earplug. Once it dried out after a few hours, it worked again.
When I first bought the HPM-70, I did not think that they were very comfortable to wear, but after a while I got used to them. The sound level is somewhat lower than on the earphones that came with the K800, but certainly enough if you rise the volume on the phone. At low levels, tha tound could be better, though. |

I have not used them, but i would assume they are very much the same as the standard headphones, except in ear, just blocking out more noise....
look around the net for some reviews though, try this forum called ipodlounge, register and ask there, you will find your answer.... |

i bought 2 pairs of ipod earphones from ebay for £6 they arrived yesterday and are top qaulity , the only thing i can find a fault with is that they are very loud they let out alot of sound so if your trying to use them in secret (eg: in school) then i suggest buying some of these:
www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/7788
they slide over the ipod earphones and lock in all he sound and make them like the hpm70 earphones (in-ear) sound.
ipod headphones and iear = 100% satisfaction! |

Although I have the HPM-70's , I'm using my Ipod's earphones for three reasons.
1) Ipod's are louder and the Treble sounds better
2) In crowded places I can hear the Ipod's better
3) White is stylish
By the way both earphones suck in very crowded/noisy places, I can't hear a shit with both of them.
For noisy places go with Headphones big enough to cover your ears.
