Maybe it's more lesbian than gay............
I understand they would be more inclined to make use of it, if it had a strap-on!!!!
Sorry................

I think I might have to agree with Uncle Bob, phone straps can easily make you look like a poof. |

I don't think it's gay. I rather like it. But I only use it when I'm on a trip and I'm using the phone as a camera a lot. It's quite handy and I'm used to carrying my digicam by the strap so it makes sense. The leather's pretty cool too.

Well the SE ones that you sometimes sell PeterKay look distinctly less gay that some that you see! |

The strap comes very handy when you're abroad on holiday just as aldroplop35 said, I normally use it during my holidays for taking snaps. I'm a careless person and always forgets where I put my stuff, so strapping the phone onto my wrist solves the problem. |

Here in the States it's definitely on the gay side. At a minimum, "metrosexual", but definitely leaning toward the foppish. The easy way to figure out things like this is to ask yourself, "What would Cristopher Walken do?"
He'd call for more cowbell, of course!

its just a matter of opinion...
K800i got a strap just that it is a Cybershot and digicams all come with one
I have it on my K800 as i use it to take pictures but my W950 havent got one as it is of no use to it
But SE should also include a lens cleaning cloth as well i think...
any1 wanna strap-up??here

My g/f has one on her K800i which she puts her hand through whilst using the handset in public - to try and prevent any *chancers* snatching it.

wrist straps are less gay than neck straps, unless you sell phones in a phone store or are running a promo of some kind, in which case the straps are cool and sought after. For example my optus neck strap I got off my Optus dealer, the PSP neckstrap I scored for free off a promo girl, or the masserati neckstrap I desperately want and hope to convince one of my customers she doesn't need - it's enough she has the masserati, surely she can let me have the strap
Straps are collectible, so for a collector like me it's not a question of sexual orientation. Who cares what anyone thinks - there is nothing wrong with being gay or being thought of as gay if you like yourself the way you are (regardless of your sexual orientation).
And I also concur that the wrist strap has saved my phone from certain destruction on several occasions!

I don't know why they provide this wrist strap as one piece of accessory, but I just use it with my PSP and they match perfectly. I will purchase some other small decorations for my cell phone but definitely not wrist strap. And it is also what Asian trend is like, no matter what sex you are. |

i don't think it scratches the phone, i've been using the strap on mine for weeks and no scratch as yet. in fact, it protects the lens cover quite well, when you use it to cushion the phone when you put it down on a table. |
