My keypad is now peeling on two of the keys. had it for 2 months. I'll be contacting Orange tomorrow and will let you know what they say. I'll try and post a picture if I get the time.

Has anyone bought a new keypad for their K800 to replace their existing keypad?

Some are beginning to appear on eBay now and I'm just wondering what the quality of these were. Might be worth considering should your keypads start peeling?

I have had my K790a for less than 2 months now and already the coating of 5 of the 12 keys are peeling off! It looks really horrible and I am totally turned off by this. There are no SE service stations in my region (St. Lucia) and there's no way I can have the keypad changed or the handset replaced. Someone please help!

Had my K800i silver for about 1.5 months now. No problems at all with the keypad peeling

Although my W810i of 10 months has peeling problems lol.

Yup thats happening to me too. All my keys are affected but as i watch myself type this, i can see why- my nails hit exactly where it is peeling. And i notice when i touch the 3 key, i naturally dont dig my nail in that one (i dunno why!)
So thats the answer, wear and tear, but i stil would have expected SE to have made sturdy keypads for this.
Anyway, i bought pink housing for my k800 and it came with a plastic keypad. I cant use it as it doesnt sit rite on the phone,bt theres ur best bet-get a keypad

The reason why this only affects the K800i is because the coating on it is rubber, instead of the hard plastic of other phones, i.e. K750, K610.

SE apparently fixed this on the silver K800 phones. They have a hard coating apparently.
