Just got off the phone with O2, they are going to send me some 'reserve the phone' text when they get it in.

Was supposed to be Monday 26th, but now O2 are saying 7th July - a game of wait and see i suppose.

they told me they would ship mine on the 28th yesterday, it took me over half an hour to get that, as they did say that i wouldn't be able to get it till july on my current tarriff and spend.
so they finally let me have it free, but because i get £15 a month off my tariff, i couldn't reduce my costs. i might try and get them to give me a data bundle free or something.

yea i did, i think the problem is that i asked for my pac last year and took it, then they offered me a better deal and i never left.
when i took my pac this year they just said sorry they couldn't match the deal i'd been offered, and i was better off going somewhere else, which shocked me.
in the end i just said i'd rather stay where i was as it was less hassle to move.
they're ringing me on tues to confirm the order, so i'm going to barter with them again and say that you can actually get the tarriff i'm on for 30 sim only, which is technically what i was on last year as i never took a phone upgrade.
it seems to me they're really toughening up this year and it looks like orange is the place to be for deals this year.

The K800i is an awseome handset, biggest downfall is the battery life which sucks, by the way it takes the same battery as the M600i and the S700i

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

Would it be possible for one of you guys with a K800 to run the JBenchmark suite against the K800? It would be interesting to compare performance against the K750/W800.

Thanks

Carphone Warehouse are saying they will release the phone on the 28th. They have even made a special page for the K800i so they obviously think its the best thing since sliced bread:
