Die Aussies!!!!

Anyway bit confused tonight will want Italy to win but a tough win, maybe 1-0.

Czeck vs US havent a cooking clue who would take it, but id say the Czecks will do well!

Australia 3 - 1 Japan

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4852706.stm

"Australia showed all their fighting qualities to come back in a game in which they looked dead and buried with substitutes Cahill and Aloisi the heroes. Japan, who controlled the match for long periods, will be disappointed not to have added a second after squandering a number of presentable opportunities."

@ Joebmc...

Didn't BBC say that you could watch the World Cup games live online? I think they did and advertised it as well...

USA 0 - 3 CZECH REPUBLIC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4852720.stm

"The US team displayed several nice combinations in midfield throughout the match, but they struggled to translate them into clear scoring opportunities. Czech Republic, meanwhile, did not create a host of chances but they had the quality to capatilise on the ones they did make for themselves. Things will not get easier for the States, as they will face Italy next in another difficult Group E clash, while the Czechs will play Ghana."

ITALY 2 - 0 GHANA

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4852746.stm

"Italy got the better of Ghana in another entertaining, free-flowing contest, but the Africans acquitted themselves extremely well in their first appearance at the FIFA World Cup and a second-half equaliser always looked possible until Iaquinta finished them off."

Xugaa whats with the BBC quotes??
Poor Ghana they played well just one stupid mistake,

I must say Ive been very impressed with African soccer thus far in the world cup, they stepping up their game, but after one game theres not much one can judge about the teams...

As for South Africa, they need a whipping and kick up their backside!!!

There is nothing wrong with the quotes i think he is doing a great job keeping the thread up to date.

Two days untill Englands next match cannot wait should be good, not as hot this time as it will be 5pm kick off so we won't suffer as much.
