the upgrade (for T68i, not T68mi) is available on the server... but then it depends on if your local servicepoint has access to it or not |

Is it just me that thinks that the speed in T68 is good enough. I have R2E006 I don't think the menus are slow and sms isn't slow anymore either. At least I can't type faster than the phone handles (maybe I'm a lousy sms writer).
Sometimes it can be a bit slow when scrolling Wap-pages with lots of links. Other than that I don't think it is slow...

The T68 is faster than the older Ericsson phones... but still not fast enough. I'm guessing this is cuz of the throttle-back of the CPU to conserve battery life... fine... but I think SE should put a selection, Power or Econo mode... let us decide whether we want a 4-5 day battery life, or a fast phone that lasts only a day or two. |

Can somebody please tell me why half of the time when I enter a new page on wap it loads up but the bottom of the page is shown and not the top!!!. This is my primary gripe about my t68i, does this still occur in the new software versions?. Im hoping the fact that noone refor to mention this problem means that it was eradicated in one of the software releases.

xhtml is new version of html and wap 2.0. Now it is possible to browse colour xhtml pages from t68 r5c and IE.

My 2 cents ...
I just upgraded from R2E006 to R5C001 yesterday and there appears to be quite a few bug fixes and improvements. Not sure yet what new bugs have been introduced.
Apart from now supporting colour WAP pages, there is a definite improvement in the speed of navigating through the phones' menu.
Typing and sending of smses is much quicker.
On R2E my phone used to lock up a lot for 20 seconds or more at a time but this appears to be gone.
The T9 input seems to be fixed too as my own words are now saved and recalled from the dictionary.
For your WAP profiles you can now have a second fallback data account set for each WAP profile.
There are some changes for MMS too, just in the way you create a new MMS message.
Can't say anything about the sms alert tone because that was never an issue for me.
I have ready about R5C now supporting 4+1 channels for GPRS, as opposed to 3+1 but I would think that this wouldn't be changeable in the software. Surely its a hardware feature ??

if Treo can add GPRS to their Handspring communicator just by a softwareupgrade (the upgrade is available for download from internet free of charge), can add one more timeslot for GPRS

Is the software availble in the UK....
I don't want to go and get my phone upgraded to R5A instead of R5C001.
TIA
