Unfortunately I don't think it would matter if you could prove it was fake. The way paypal, ebay and ebay sellers work, you got no chance of recompense. Maybe the seller would be happy to reimburse minus postage costs but most sellers of memory sticks incorporate the stick costs into the postage. You will also have to pay to return the item so it is insured and tracked such that the seller cannot claim they did not receive it.
Moral of the story is, look for reputable dealers. |

Try not to buy from China / Asia, and eBay, unless they are a very reputable seller, its tough to get a decent priced genuine card...

All the ebayer sellers shipping from HK are selling fake cards. I am in Hong Kong and I can't see ANY local shops displaying SONY brand memory stick pro duo out on display window (all are Sandisk and Lexar). When I asked for it, they just said it's available (at incredibly low price). I think the police crack down fake cards and they don't put them on display windows anymore. They are the stores who also do online ebay/yahoo trading too.
I have studied through fake vs. genuine card issue and found that nobody thus far has complained about any particular problem about the fake cards except that it's fake. It seems that they work but at your own risk of course. |

I,m not sure that i understand the reference to possible Cinese fakes with Sandisk. Sandisk is a Chinese company in any event is it not? Maybe i,m missing something. |
