The letter I sent to SE CEOs about firmware - Incident closed! Solution! |

well in the short run they might be afraid to admit that their firmware sucks because they (SE) donīt wont to look bad in front of their competitors (Noika, Motorola, Siemens and so on).
But in the long run i think that SE is doing more damage to themselves if they donīt answer and help their customers with their complaints and problems, escpecially since there are so many of us that are very unsatisfied now. They better answer me! Iīm prepared to take this far!
If you compare: If you leave your car for a tune up at the shop and you get it back functioning much WORSE then it did before. And then you complain and they donīt answer you or just give you a brush of type of answer, would you as a consumer accept that? I think not!
Or if they tell you -you just have to wait for an month or so and then we can fix it, we canīt fix it right now. And would you accept that? No way!
That is what happened with the firmware issue: you just have to wait..
So this is tiresome, but will be interesting. I hope my mail to the SE CEO wonīt "dissapear".

I sent it to the vice president of SE market and sales. He is stationed here in Sweden, i think. I got hes mail adress from a guy here on Esato i think he is from Brazil and has mailed you the same list as i got from him.

@full: what makes you think other manufacturers are far better on their firmwares? From reading esato nokia's has just as many issues but people just learn to accept it.
Firmwares have to be tested to be fixed, magical fixes aren't just going to appear overnight, that sucks yes, but thats the way of software development. Do I like that? no. Do I accept that? Yes. Besides, do we know how big 's software department is for making firmwares, if it slike 1000 people then yes, firmwares shouldn't take long to come out at all, if its not, then who knows.
Pretty clear they do care about customers though, else would they bothered to have done anything for dan? they could simply has sent back "Thankyou for your email, we greatly value any feedback on our products/services, we hope you continue to enjoy using your phone" or something similar like that.
The real problem is, that like ANY company, they're just not doing what we want immeadiately. Unfortunately it'll be on their time, not ours. |

Yes Gigs... but it's simple: you updated it, now it doesn't work as "contracted" when you buy it; SCREW THEM, the fix should be instantly; I don't care if through firmware/RMA/whatever
But they don't even bother to help / get back at you / give a damn. Just me because I wrote that letter and all that crap; but what about the others?

I totally agree with Dan Aykroyds latest post here.
And i have never claimed that other manufacturers firmware is better than SE:s firmware. I just pointed out a theory about why SE isnīt admitting that there are major issues with their firmware. Nobody wants to look bad in front of competitors.
And i do believe that there are many of us that have major issues with our phones after upgrading the firmware. And that showes that SE made a ,in my opinion, big misstake when they released their newer firmware. And as i have said in earlier posts: yes there will always be bugs in software but the level of bugs in this firmware is absolutely NOT acceptable. It doesnīt matter if the SE:s software department only consists of one person. SE have to better themselves in this department.

I just spoke to SE call center and they couldnīt of course help me or tell me when the new firmware will be out. So iīm still stuck with my crappy firmware. Oh and by the way, they havenīt still answer my two mails to them. Next week i will take this further and go to the swedish consumer association to make a complaint against SE if necessary. Now iīm really p*ssed off!!!!!!!! |

I think you may wanna get down here...
While visiting the country you might as well get a chance to get a new phone + gift, since we seem to be more "listened" haha
Sorry; good luck with your complain! Though that things worked right there in your country (specially, if it's YOUR company)!
