It did not work.
Anyway I called back to the SE support and this time they were fully aware of the problem and they said they were working on it.
The only solution seems to be a card reader.
Mail och call SE abot your problems, bugs etc plz and maybe the next firmware will actually work. And olso ask them about x64 drivers. I need them : ) |

lets see how they work the problems out... today was a special day, because since my update this as the first day that i didn't find a new bug. (although the day is not over yet so lets see)
i sincerely hope they do read thee forums, i think they do because i remember a link in my w800 to the esato page. so would be really weird if they didn't check out these forums.
so the bugs just keep coming. lets hope they read through this thread and do something about all those bugs. |

Well they (the people at SE) have their work cut out for them then! I mean with all the bugs and all! I´m just happy i´m gonna get back my old and first firmware! Just waiting to get my phone back though...strangely enough i miss it...that is with the old firmware!
They should be aware by now about the bugs. But i´m gonna try to mail them a list of all the bugs.
And then we´ll just have to wait and see.

I haven't really gotten a chance to play w/ my W800 after getting R1NA005... I had R1N035 earlier and the white screen thing was apparent. I haven't tested out the MP3 player so cant say whether it has that "hissing" sound or not. The earpiece volume doesn't seem to be improved. It still sound quiet. I'm guessing it's a hardware thing. lolz may b they should replace the earpiece w/ the loud speaker. The firmware seems the same as R1N035 to me... Both firmware is a plus over R1L that's for sure. May b except for the white screen thing but it rarely ever happens to me. It's only happened once using R1N035. I don't have much complaints about it. I dunno why u guys do. Bugs will eventually be fixed. Just sit back and wait for the updates. I'm using the Taiwan R1NA005 at the moment cuz I wanted the traditional chinese text =D
Edit: I ahve just used my W800 to amke some calls and it ahngs after a while. usually on my longer convos the phone simply just hangs after like 10-20 mins of a convo. WTH I amde 2 calls and it hung twice. R1N035>R1NA005

go a HongKong version with R1L i believe.. updated to the most recent one, R1NA005 .. so far:
Pros:
- Reception has gotten a tad bit better.
- Battery life seems better also.
- Sound from earphones are def. louder
- Menu nav seems smoother
Cons:
- Sound of camera still there, cant be shut off even in silence mode.
- Hearing a small amount of hissing or static now from music.
- After or during a video, the phone will show a full white screen, then reset itself.
- Will freeze up and or reset itself randomly while playing a game.
- When using bluetooth headset, sound has a hissing noise also.
- When playing almost any game, I notice about a pixel width of empty space on the top and bottom of the screen.. showing the theme wallpaper in the background, instead of a full screen of the game.
So far that is all I picked up.. will post again once I notice more.

Tried to flash using SEUS but it won't allow...

Another bug that I've not seen mentioned. Have put a load of m4a files on my 1Gb mem stick (via a Card Reader cause it can't be done by the phone doh). If I select "Tracks" in the media player to list all tracks, and then select play, the phone locks up, and needs battery out to reset it.
If I do it with the 512Mb card, it works after a short delay.
If I navigate to the track via the Artist Album route, and then choose play, it works with either card.
There are so many bugs in this release I wonder if an alpha got out by mistake!

I think this issue have been mentioned. I have noticed that bug to on my 512 mb card.
I think i´m gonna start a new club named- We who refuse to upgrade EVER again. |

i experienced that last night.. whenever i would get an sms msg, the phone would vibrate, ill look at the screen and see nothing but a lil folder on the upper top of the screen.. no pop up icon saying NEW MESSAGE or what not..
