@619
Making you one is not even a question, I can even installed it for you.
Kabayan, for what I can tell, you have your own broadband/DSL in your house kaya hindi mo na kailangan to boost up your WiFi. Not unless if you’re hosting a WiFi server and shooting it to a distant client an end to end per se. Isa pa hindi magandang tignan sa rooftop of your house sa subdivision bili ka nalang ng professionally made.
The intent was to introduce sa mga kabayan nating nagre-rely sa free WiFi to boost up yong signal or pick up a signal, in a very affordable materials. Once the antenna is been constructed and connected to their WLAN card just point the open end of the antenna (can) to the ISP station and if the signal is strong enough then they can begin surfing the net.

Better believe it, ang mga gumawa nyan are not any average Blow Joe, mga students from prominent Colleges & Universities. Kaya yong mga materials are inexpensive and readily available a typical student experiments but it works. Some of those improved model it can go as far as 10 miles. |

@ed
For what I read they are using bigger antenna, signal amplifier and tower for clean line of sight. |

i think yan ang dapat na ilagay sa mga coffee shops dito, para malakas ang signal ng mga routers nila..

Siguro masmabuti kong yong city ang mag provide ng ganong klasing infrastructure ng WiFi Access point.
A regular wireless router or perhaps RangeMax Smart MIMO is adequate enough inside the coffee shops to support their customers, kawawa naman yong may ari ng shop pag ganoon ang ilagay nya.

i think Linksys mayron silang binibintang high gain antennas, check mo lang.
ang gamit ko is netgear supper-g tapos nilagay ko sa gitna ng bahay inside the attic kya cover kahit saan ako mag punta. ginawa ko pa nilagyan ko ng mahabang wire naka wrap lang sa rubber antenna, it helps a little. |

sana kong malapit lang i'll buy it for you then drop it off after work.
mga isang dipa 26 gauge solid wire with cover, sa isang end eni-strip ko enough to wrap several round to the rubber antenna (huwag masyadong mahigpit pra hindi masira yong antenna mo) then scatch tape to secure the wire on the antenna. tapos nka vertical, siguro magwork any size of wires, its worth a try.
